He was terrible for 90% of his career with us.Blackpool fans don't like to hear how good Carey is. A quality player booed out of the club by the clueless.

Or - dare I day it - was maybe having to shoulder the responsibility for some of the quartet of goals conceded less than halfway through the first-half...No idea mate.
Southampton we’re already 4 up by the time he was subbed on 24 minutes so could have been tactical but then again he could have picked up an injury I suppose.
Although, to be fair, you're not keen on CJ's defensive capabilityWhy do Blackpool fans have this peculiar obsession with wingers having a "defensive game" and not giving a phuck about how good someone is going forward?
They'll have a job getting back what they paid us for him!Ive seen similar things said on Twitter. Also quite a few saying that he needs to be loaned out and some even saying they would rather sell him and recoup money for him. Its all gone tit's up right now for him.
My Charlton coworker said that Apter was subbed because he was lazy and wasnt tracking back at all. Said that the lad showed zero effort and looked disinterested. Wasnt tracking back, slow to join in attacks and at one point just stood on the half way line and watched southampton score. He said that there were others on the pitch that were just as bad as him, but that they at least were trying which is more than can be said for Apter. I was shocked by that, I never saw Apter as lazy in any way for us. There must be alot going on behind the scenes for him to be like that.
.. or was he always brought in as a squad player and the bench was always his intended position? He will be sent on loan in January to save some of his wages
Notwithstanding that he would have to prove himself at a higher level, I doubt very much he would have been happy to agree to that... or was he always brought in as a squad player and the bench was always his intended position?
I'd add that even though he's not playing he's probably getting far better coaching than he did here, so if he has to move on he'll be a better player for that. Of course he'll need pitch minutes, which may come in the form of a loan in January. He left us so whatever happens it was his choice/demands. I don't want him to fail, but for whatever reason be it money or attitude he made his choice. It shouldn't surprise me as youngsters seem to make rash decisions & always want everything yesterday.
Now that he's truly beginning to make his mark at his new club, I suspect he couldn't 'carey' less what Pool fans have got to say about him...He was terrible for 90% of his career with us.
I think he bought Carey because he's a good player - and he's right, whatever people on here think.Charlton sadly mid-table and very unlikely to come down - shame as really despise Jones and would love to have seen them relegated.
I still think he bought both Carey and Apter out of spite because he still hates us!
It wasn't spite. They've taken their pick of L1 talent where it looks likely they can make the step up with them. And added a few that Nathan Jones trusts from Luton who can do a job.Charlton sadly mid-table and very unlikely to come down - shame as really despise Jones and would love to have seen them relegated.
