Are the covers on?

Probably waterlogged pitch at this rate.

Do we always seem to hit a weather front / storm?

Edit to add: looks like due to stop at 6pm

BBC forecast for Blackpool has 5.00pm at a 98% chance of rain, 6.00pm @ 85% and 7.00pm @ 62%,,,staying at that level till 9.00pm.

Worried now! Getting heavier!
Not another postponement?
Will be playing till June, so maybe some fans??

Met Office currently show 11pm tomorrow night for the end of the rain. On and off heavy until then.

Covers ?? They’re only for frost or snow and ice not rain.
Exactly, There are too may wannabe Monty Dons on here who haven't got a clue how continuous heavy rain over months and then heavy rain before a match will cause the problems there are.

I would normally expect to be working in peoples gardens in January and February most days but this year I have hardly worked outside at all because the ground is just too wet. It must be my fault then?? It's the ** shit weather!!!!

Excuse my ignorance, just assumed it would keep the majority of the water off the pitch, easily brushed to the sides as it accumulates etc.

I dont know what you are getting so worked up about hertford not one person has moaned on this thread. We are all pissed off about missing the match.

Pitch looks fantastic there. Lets hope it stops raining and put the game back an hour if they have to, not sure where the surface water will go though.

Thought I’d share these pics from April & May 2019. 1st lot a rather wet pitch in Argentina, and the 2nd an epic boll roll intervention. Both went ahead / continued. 😁

I'm the same, I have been looking forward to the game all day but if it is postponed because of the rain, it's just that no ones fault.

Why wouldn't we have the covers on?
Bearing in mind the time of Mac’s post it’s almost negligible if the covers haven’t been on to protect the pitch! If Mac can see what weather was on the way, surely the Groundsman should have taken the necessary action!

But .... nobody else’s game is off yet and ours will be in all likelihood????

Jesus

Are we the only game off tonight 😫
Can't see any others as yet in the four leagues but they obviously leave it later now with no crowds. Just Woking v Dover in the conference, but I think Dover have bigger problems than rain and that one was already a goner before today.

Why can’t we delay KO by an hour and get the super sopper thingy on it?

That one bloke in Argentina cleared it in 30 mins using an industrial blower.
