I am privy to nowt so this is just message board chit chat but has Simon Sadler and the board gone up a cut-de-sac? Was Nathan Jones their trump card? Good offer and expecting him to say yes? Or has he not even had an offer and it's all gossip? If he did have an offer and wanted the weekend to think about it then now it's Tuesday afternoon and nothing, making me think he doesn't want it. Was there a lack of a plan B as they thought it was not going to be rejected? Or have they been speaking to various people from a shortlist they have drawn up. Was Heckingbottom lined up as a mate and shelved due to the total apathy from the supporters? Has Evo really been ignored and not heard from the club or has he actually been contacted and they are keeping schtum? Or have they just got no one they can agree on or particularly want at all?
At the moment out of those who are not managing another club there is Jones (doesn't want it), Heckingbottom (Not wanted) and Lobera (Made up and probably never in the frame), so that leaves managers or coaches who are in employment, not the best time to be approaching them as they come to the climax of the season but out of those who are realistic you have Ian Evatt, Ryan Lowe, Richie Wellens but all of those look like gaining promotion with their teams so Plymouth and Swindon will be in league 1 the same as us so will they want to come anyway? That leaves Evo, who will be in the Conference and will definitely want to progress his career.
I make no apologies for wanting Evo as our manager, so I may appear biased, but we need the feel good factor on the pitch to match that what is happening off it. A young, up and coming manager who has taken a team who were favourites for the drop to way ahead at the top of the league, by playing exciting football, who is a Blackpool legend, has oodles of passion and loves the club. I just cannot get my head around why they don't want to talk to him?
So, if not Evo, Jones or Heckingbottom, who the fuck else is there?
