Are we getting too big for our boots?

Crazy times at this club to be honest. Thought it would all settle down this season and we’d have a slightly boring but successful season under Grayson. Obviously it hasn’t panned out that way, but do the last few weeks show we’re not the attractive proposition we thought we were for managers/players.l? Jones doesn’t want the job, if he did he’d be manager by now. I also don’t think we’re the type of club with the ability to bully others in relation to poaching managers (Robinson, Ainsworth, Barry-Murphy). Yes we’ve got a new owner who is clearly ambitious, but so do most other clubs. I can only hope the board doesn’t panic and look to someone at the bottom of the managerial shortlist.

Jones is on a £2m salary from Stoke, allegedly, that's a huge obstacle for us to overcome. Perhaps we were naive, rather than too big for our boots.

If the £2M Stoke salary is true, then Stoke are going to have to compromise at some point....He isn't going to attract a salary anywhere close to that now......So it's either Stoke decide to make up the difference between what another Club is able to offer OR he's likely to sit it out....And TBH I really don't think anyone can blame him.

I’d rather it be this way than the previous regime...... nothing is ever perfect, but the professionalism and intent is clear to see.

Jeez, Karl would have had the Managers job I the chippy window or on Indeed!

Shiggy, you are looking at the negatives rather than the positives. Simon Sadler and Ben Mansford don't have a magic wand to make every obstacle disappear. We're making progress - David Dunn has started winning with better tactics - and I'm convinced the club are working hard to bring in the right man.

Cheer up, mi old mucker. 🙂

Really wasn’t intended to be a negative post. Just questioning if in the midst of the post-Oyston jubilation we’ve slightly got ahead of ourselves. Up the pool
