I cannot remember reading and being so utterly upset and disturbed by a news article. Utterly harrowing.

Unfathomable. Twisted and cruel beyond belief.

CCTV shows tragic Arthur struggle to pick up duvet from floor

The distressing footage was shown at Coventry Crown Court on Tuesday, where Thomas Hughes, 29, and Emma Tustin, 32, are accused of killing Arthur at their home in Solihull last June.

I wonder what their friends and work colleagues were doing as this went on?
Shame they could not be exposed far sooner. Makes my blood boil

All you really have to do these days is post a few family photos up on social media and everyone thinks your life is great.

I hope they get no protection in jail, just throw them in to general population and go on an extended tea break.

If convicted let’s hope they both get done over in prison, their lives should be made utter hell.

Stuff any civil rights issues they simply don’t deserve any, nothing worse than when a small child is involved.

Jaffa, civil rights are for people who are civil. As others say, some 'down time' with fellow prison inmates might be helpful.

Why indeed, unfortunately this sort of case seems to be happening more and more often. It puts a lot of things into perspective when you see and hear how some of these poor children are treated. Innocent youngsters who have put their complete trust in parents whose only interest is their own pleasure. I agree entirely with what appears to be the majority opinion of what hopefully will happen to them inside.

Haven't been able to stop thinking about this since I saw the headline this morning. I couldn't read the article. Utterly heartbreaking. That poor little boy.

Know what you mean, there are some things that just can't be unread, when you have children / grandchildren of your own, it becomes personal, you can actually feel the pain of grief
 
The evil of many adults towards innocent children, hasn't changed since before the Hindley & Brady days and it will continue.
Each case is gut wrenching and so very hard to comprehend.
RIP Arthur ✝️ & may those vile pair suffer painful abuse, each and every day, for the rest of their lives.
 
Heard a bit of it on the radio but had to turn the volume down as I just couldn’t listen to it. Absolutely heartbreaking. No prison sentence is long enough for them 2.

RIP Little Man.

Poor little mite, tortured, poisoned with salt, half starved then battered to death.
Unimaginable terror that little boy suffered.
Those two are in for some tough bird which neither will survive.
 
What is the point in the people who killed this little lad ? Suspect they feel sorry for themselves, monsters

They will cost the tax payer millions over their incarceration. Just get rid, I am sure that if a bill was introduced should the death penalty be available to child killers and also people who rape / abuse children it would be supported by the vast majority

There's a hierarchy among criminals, and these two scumbags are right at the bottom.
I sincerely hope the people in the big house make them suffer EVERY DAY for what they did to this little boy.
Don't kill them , just make them wish they were dead.
 
It sounds as though the stepmother is having a hard time presently. Other inmates, it appears, are lacing her food with salt. and with the review into her sentence I can't see her surviving the whole term.

Have I the decency to forgive and feel sorry for her?

Certainly not.
 
As terrible as this story is, I'm not sure why every ground had a minute's applause last Saturday and Sunday.

I personally feel it would resonate more at the grounds local to the poor mite's home.

I wonder if it sets a precedent.
