AVFTT - Quick Update

Just on the train in to work and this site is so much easier to read and post on from a mobile than the other site. Also, might be worth bearing in mind that am pretty sure I registered on an old Yahoo e-mail when AVFTT first arrived which has long gone and so I winder how many existing users will have changed e-mails and not receive a notification?
 
I can just imagine when the great unwashed (if I'm allowed to say that) are transferred to this site. BRB will once again be the prime suspect and anyone else who has used the board will be classed as nobs, or even worse. I could be wrong, but don't think I will be.

I say carry on, this is a far more pleasant board to use and should, hopefully, go down well as there are so many more things available to the poster. Well done.

Feel free to invite anyone over - just ask them not to post about where we are on the other board - we have tried contacting a few more users but because some usernames were registered 12 years ago, the e-mail addresses no longer exist!

As we originally said, there is nothing cloak and dagger about moving over, it’s just we want everyone to have access to their original username, which they’ll receive via an e-mail notification, and also we’ve not tested advertising yet which we want to get right.
 
Admin, can you close threads on here? Might be a good feature to have for some of the more controversial issues.
 
Well the board seems to have been generally accepted by the Middleboro fans, so hopefully, our lot will, in the main, accept the changes as well.
 
Just a quickie - can you look at the Boro site on laptop and phone - those are the positions we think we're going with for ads - not particularly intrusive on laptop, maybe a bit more so on phones (and sadly some of the Google ads are hardly aesthetically pleasing to look at!) but should do a job. Just waiting for approval for the ads to come on here and then. we're not far off the big switch - will give some notice and then hopefully we'll have a smooth transition (famous last words!). BTW - we'll delete all the AVFTTAdmin threads and so feel free to say what you think about anything you'd like changing or that we could do better.

Funny that the Boro site is practically the same of this - full of life's 'more interesting characters' (which is being kind!) 🤪
 
I think a few offshoot forums below the main football one would work well. You can also private message people on here so you can have an argument without getting everyone else involved and if it gets too heated you can block the other person.

It will be good to get some of the many "Lurkers" to start posting too.
