Whilst our support yesterday was fantastic chants like the one you mentioned really did make me cringe. The problem is they don’t just do it once they then repeat it thinking it’s funny when it’s fuckin embarrassing.Fantastic support all throughout the game, especially after the two Ipswich goals. We made far more noise than 20,000 home fans who were very quiet.
Some crude chants were not really necessary though like “ sit down if you sh__ged your mother”
Plus some childish behaviour by a small number of our fans trying to get into a group of also childish Ipswich fans at the end of the match!
I must be getting old and past it but it spoilt it somewhat for me being with 2 of my grandchildren.
Or literacy, come to that. 'Discipline'!Dare say their teachers would have something to say when they go into school on Monday.
Or perhaps not given school disapline nowadays
Agreed. You’ll get it in every away in the country. Post Covid/Oyston, I tend to think our away ends have been outstanding compared to the years before hand, certianly deserving of more and representative of a club who expects to be going places - not sure what brought the change in terms of a more lively/noisy bunch?I would suggest that having a pop at the younger generation for yesterday’s chant is a bit rich when you consider some of the stuff that oldies chanted in the 70s and 80s.
Not really. It was just weird and cringe but yeah whatever floats everyone's boat doesn't mean anything to me.I would suggest that having a pop at the younger generation for yesterday’s chant is a bit rich when you consider some of the stuff that oldies chanted in the 70s and 80s.
