All very good tonight. Our forwards need to start pulling their weight because those four are a very decent base to work from, and although we had a defensive lapse for the goal, that isn't the reason why we're losing games.

Maxwell - i'm not convinced at all. I thought he should've come for the ball in the first minute, and some wayward kicking.
Mitchell - has potential. On the left wing, but never ever as a left back.
Husband - no need to say anything.
Ekpiteta - Outstanding, really improving massively game by game.
Turton - Decent defensively
Ward - Unlucky.
Robson - Probably our most consistently good performer this season. Unfortunately couldn't get forward much.
Williams - Protected the defence well, especially when a man down.
Hamilton - Big threat in the first half, not in the second. Only player capable of making something happen.
Madine - Worked hard but sometimes holds onto the ball too long and his attempts to link with the other forward didn't come off. We were worse when he went off.
Woodburn - Slow start, improved and a shame he went off.

Ballard - Outstanding
Yates - Whenever the ball is played to him, the defender always gets there first without exception. What kind of service is he expecting?
Lubala - Didn't get into the game at all

I've tried to be fair on another very disappointing night. We did well when a man down, and I would say it was fairly even for large chunks of the game. The one difference between the two teams, and it is an important difference, is the final ball. The cross from which they scored was a delivery that not a single Blackpool forward would've been capable of, and that is a big worry. The quality in the final third is utterly non-existent. No one is capable of picking a pass, seeing a run, whipping the ball in. The only thing we have is that Hamilton can beat people for pace, but that will only do so much. I think Woodburn and KaiKai will give us more cutting edge if and when they can play. Against Crewe, we scored from our only decent cross in the match. That's what matters.

Charlton are a decent side, top half. But like Ipswich, they had that final pass or cross that we don't. The worry is you only need one good one to win a game and we keep going 90 mins without a decent ball in.

I'm not even going to comment on our set pieces!

Thought that Robson was woeful to be honest. He's the worst dead ball specialist I've ever seen. However, totally agree with Ballard, Williams and Marv.

I thought he did well, I think he was trying to play his role and Wards at times.
Totally agree about set pieces, why is he still taking them? He hasn't put a good one in yet in seven games.

I feel like I was watching a different game having read that.
