Barnsley sacking

Barnsley have just sacked manager Darrell Clarke after we gave them a pasting at the weekend.

They sacked their previous manager, Neill Collins, last season after we beat them then as well.

As if anyone coming in now with 9/10 games to go is really going to turn it round unless they have completely lost the dressing room?
Feel sorry for the bloke because he was doing well and then had massive injury problems.

Assuming (!) both teams are going to be competing in the same division next season, I can only guess that, whoever is selected as Collins' successor (as manager), will be best advised, by those 'in the know' at Barnsley, to perhaps pencil in a day's leave for the timetabled Pool fixtures...

Did they not sack their manager in the middle of the playoffs last season?

its happened at two yorkshire clubs within a week. Both Tykes and Udders have been in the prem within living memory. its the thought of either being stuck in this top european league for another season or having to negotiate the play offs. we will probably fall short this season . the two clubs mentioned have gone into meltdown .

I can't see the Barnsley board sacking Clarke just because they got beat at home by Blackpool when they had 8 first team players out injured.
