Be lovely to get a first day ST sales

Can’t see why not 👍🏼
I think the better the team do the more will attend on a match day too
My godson made up 18 in March and he can’t afford a ST so he’s told me he will pick and choose games and pay on the day. Unfortunately the way things are going with the government and my buisness I’m not in a position to buy him a ST at £359

The under 18 bracket will make up a big part of our support next season….. that’s why the club offered their tickets at £99 to re engage with the youth in the town 👍🏼

How many ST did we sell in 2007?
First season back in Championship.
Our average attendance on our first season back in 2007 was 8,861. So when you take off away fans and PotD, then you're probably looking somewhere between 5-6k season tickets.

Interestingly, we averaged 8,770 in league one post takeover, so I think that shows just how much the O's held us back, and why people are maybe underestimating us a little now.

Yeah, but not truly fair to make a equal comparison, the clubs in a much better state now.

Then we were coming off thr back of years of crap, ok we have had the boycott years but before were some of the best the club has had.

All under the enthusiasm sapping oystons though.

We also I think had half a ground, 2 stands and a real tinpot feel.

We at least now, whilst still much more work to do, have recaptured a decent amount of youth and are making strides in recapturing the town although this takes time.

Comparing the 2 states of the club now is like night and day.

Trialists, no team until the last minutes, an unwillingness to spend money, half a stadium, tin pot operation pitch prone to being like a ploughed field.

To promotion to the championship now, great pitch, completed stadium (well at least 4 sides), pride spent on it doing up areas, fans engagement, players signed early and money spent, long deals, training ground in works but current one improved vastly already.

We are in a much better position than years gone and have potential to grow the club beyond what most have seen in our lifetimes.

Its night and day for kids growing up today compared to maybe 20 years ago, there's a real positive and feelg good club to support now and I can only see more and more behind behind that.

👍

Yes that's the point i'm making, a lot of people look back on past seasons when estimating how many season tickets we sell, but I don't think we can do that. It's completely different now, which is why we averaged in league one under Sadler what we averaged in the Championship under the previous regime.
Whole new era now, the trust in the owner is high, the success on the pitch is evident, the investment in the club is tangible.

Yeah and as a club and town we still haven't reached our potential.

Sadler has been in charge about 2 years and is only beginning to turn around some of the mess he inherited.

Imagine in years to come with a new east stand with regenerated back Henry Street, completed training ground, years of being run properly, obviously success on the pitch or relatively.

Exciting times.
