Beesley

First lesson as a Blackpool fan : Never judge a player on their debut.

Many players play like world beaters on their debut.
They are playing on a adrenaline rush with a fresh start, new teammates, new manager etc..

I've seen dozens of Blackpool players make great debut appearances, who love struck fans judged as world class signings on their 1st appearance, only to fade and disappoint a few games on .

The time to judge them is after at least a dozen appearances.

But many are playing on a adrenaline rush of a fresh start, new manager etc..

I've seen dozens of great Blackpool debutee appearances over the decades, who fans judged as top class signings on their 1st appearance, only to disappoint later on .

“He had a great game but once he slips up my opinion will be right”

How dull. Let’s encourage these young exciting players to make a difference for us from the off. Jerry Yates being prime example. He was “shit” when he first signed for us. As was Critchley, as way CJ, as was Bowler, as was Keogh, as was Maxwell, as was Ekpiteta, as was Dougall, as was blah blah fuckin blah.

Give them a chance from game one.

For me they looked what they are: wanting to impress but a bit off the pace and not yet comfortable with their team mates. That will improve but it has to be done carefully.

Doesn't count when coming back from 18 months out though when you see how some of our fans react.

I can only say that I was very impressed with my first view of Beesley. He could only do so much in the few minutes he was on , but he was better than I expected.

yeah can't assess really on that. He won his first aerial dual and had a couple of good touches on the deck in the first few minutes he was on.

We are a proper football club now who actually scout, or have extensive knowledge of our recruits. Not all will come off but far better approach than asking managers wife for recommendations after watching videos.

He won every header that camebhis way. What you'd call raw boned. He looks a prospect.

Always good when players make their debut when you have that lead and go on and win the game and soak up the North.
Imagine being Nuttall and Feeney making your debut at Scunny losing 1-0 in front of a baying Scunny crowd!!

I thought Beesley looked a very good prospect. Won the ball EASILY in the air without the need to foul the opposition .He appears to have pace, ball control and vision.
Kirk came on and made an immediate impact. Went off the boil a little after that dirty ba%$£&ds tackle.
Owen Dale looks a different player , alert, pacey and tenacious.
EXCITING TIMES.
U.T.M.P.

Thought he looked tidy and nippy on the ball. What did you think?
Yeah he looked full of confidence, turned and took a few players out of the game a couple of times, looked like he had a pass on him as well. Hoping now he's a full time employee that we will start to see him at his best! But the way that CJ is proving his critics wrong I'm not sure he will get much of a look in!
