Belarus decision to continue football - should UEFA step in?

The Belarus Football association says it has no intention of postponing matches or cancelling the season it began earlier this month. The decision to carry on and allow fans into stadiums has helped the Belarus Football Federation get broadcasting deals with sports networks in 10 countries. President Lukashenko, who has held power in the former Soviet nation of 9.5 million people since 1994, has downplayed the need for social distancing and has taken few measures to tackle the pandemic in his country. Two questions - Should UEFA expel Belarus? Should the United Nations put pressure on the country to avoid what might potentially amount to genocide?

Hope they let the current match being played finish before any ban, got £43 @31/20 on Dinamo Brest who are currently 2-0 up!!

If nothing else it will provide a 'control' sample for all the other European countries to compare to.

Good luck to them, I think they'll need it.

You can’t compare it to the outbreak in the Uk. Their nation is roughly twice the size with 50 million less people. Social distancing will come naturally to them over there 🤔
