Ben Woodburn

Good luck with that one. He's had a few chances at League One and Championship level and never quite done it.

If he's seen as the Archer replacement then he'll have a bit more to live up to than I think he can manage.

Two week trial

Not sure he’s up to Championship standard tbh

Not sure if we’re just helping him out or serious about signing him

No harm in taking a look at him in training anyway

When he couldn't say what his own best position was in his first interview here I wasn't holding much hope. Tough on the mental side of it when someone has an impact at a young age like he did at Liverpool. And with Wales being desperate to get any players who can qualify for them tied down early to full caps.

Lowe saved Ryan Hardie's EFL career and turned him into an asset for Plymouth on a budget so he might be able to light a similar spark if it goes beyond a trial. For the first time since I can remember the nobbers actually have someone competent in charge.

There’s definitely a player in there and he has some really good attributes. When he played for Blackpool it was quite early on in the League 1 season when the squad as a whole wasn’t really gelling. We hadn’t adapted to using the CAM (which Sonny Carey proved to be excellent at last season before his injury) and the games in which he did play were largely passing him by. He was a bit lightweight for League 1 but that may be less of an issue at Championship level with better players around him and better pitches to play on. I always felt Critchley may have brought him back to Blackpool eventually and certainly don’t think he’s shit. Whether he’s good enough for Championship football is to be seen. Looks like he’s going to be another overhyped Liverpool kid who carves out a career in the Championship and below - see Jay Spearing, Neil Mellor, Herbie Kane etc.

Edit : should do well for you in League 1 in 23/24. 🤗

I think a lot of Prem league academy lads need to re evaluate how good they are. He is not dogshit but the really hard work starts now and it may be below championship level, think Accy would be a good move for him, so he gets game time and can rebuild his reputation slowly

Accy/PNE - similar sort of club tbf

*Although one is financially sound, building for the future and run by decent honest business people…

watched him for Hearts last season and he did not set the world alight. can see PKE giving him the elbow too.

a load of beer bellied unfit football fans calling a young lad that has played several times for Liverpool first team dog shit🤣you couldn’t make it up 😁

We really should put O/T at the start of threads like we used to every time I see these titles a lump appears in my throat.😁

Could be a success for them. However, he’s not really done much at this level, therefore he will have been cheap to get hold of. See also Ched Evans.

My heart sank when I saw the post and thought we were after him again. As others have said he's really not championship standard - so would be an ideal signing for the nobbers

He had a bad habit of going forward with the ball then unexplicably one his legs would be drawn into a collision with a nearby opposition player. Sometimes the refs bought it but overall a rather disappointing part of his game .

Pottsy is going nowhere had a great season our marauding wing back 😁

What’s with the Maguire rumour to you guys ??

Any one heard anything your end?

Yes Sean , would be delighted to see the back of him but expected him to be dropping a division

Could be bs but apparently he’s fell out with our captain (Browne)
