Best bass guitar player of all time..

Yeah she’s pretty fab. Good shout out for Mick Karn (Methods of Dance my fave) but I think Pino Palladino just edges him for his work on Gary Numan (Music for Chameleons will be familiar to Partridge fans even if they don’t recognise the title) Paul Young and playing with the Who. Now that’s diverse playing!!!
Saw Gary Numans band at Preston guild hall, about 3 years ago.
One of the best concerts I’ve been to, even if it was only 2 thirds full.
A strange mix of electronic/heavy metal.

favourites, not best !!

Carol Kaye - Phenomenal
Marcus Miller - Phenomenal
Stanley Clarke - Phenomenal
James Jameson - Phenomenal
Verdine White - Phenomenal

loads more but it's not that important what I think. Check them out out on you tube and tell me that I'm wrong !

Probably comes down to a generational and music style choice, so for me:

JJ Buenell
Mick Carn
Hooky

and Lemmy 😊

There was an amazing bass player knocking around Lower Saxony in the 1630s. Didn't get many gigs though, what with Madrigals being all the rage and electricity not having been discovered.
