Wages will shoot up though.A promotion on Sunday will certainly be helpful for the coffers. Not sure on prize money but Championship TV money, bigger gates due to bigger home and away crowds (sell out crowd against Nobbers), more people buying concessions, more people buying merchandise.
Then of course our back-to-back promotion to the Premier League, every little helps.
Very true, although credit to Sadler and the board I believe whilst they're ambitious, they are sensible. It seems to me they are planning for the future and not just a smash and grab model which as you say, ends you up like Bolton.Wages will shoot up though.
Whilst we all like the current positivity, it has to be done in a long term sustainble way or you just end up following the path of Bolton when the owner eventually passes on the reigns.
I do worry about House of Roma in these uncertain economic times.I've had a quick browse of these and what a joy it is to not see loans to 'other companies' (cough) syphoning money out of the club. Revenues increased year on year despite Covid largely due to season ticket purchases.
All in all, a refreshing read, nothing hidden or attempted to be.
Isn't that money coming in? (I'm absolutely hopeless with accounts)Page 10. Loan for 173k converted to a Gift. Is that KOKO’s ?
I know koko took a 173k directors loan and it hadn’t been repaid yet....court proceedings yet to happen....I’m just hoping BFC haven’t wrote it off as a gift.....I’m not the best at accounts either.Isn't that money coming in? (I'm absolutely hopeless with accounts)
I've no idea, we need someone who, unlike me, doesn't immediately lapse into a coma when presented with accounts.I know koko took a 173k directors loan and it hadn’t been repaid yet....court proceedings yet to happen....I’m just hoping BFC haven’t wrote it off as a gift.....I’m not the best at accounts either.
The good news is that it’s nothing to do with Koko’s loan. It is the write off of a loan made by a director, presumably SS, TO the company.Page 10. Loan for 173k converted to a Gift. Is that KOKO’s ?

Agreed, makes sense.Just to clear the 'gift thing' up, it is showing as 'income' in the accounts, so it would have been payable to someone who has decided to gift it to the club. KoKo? Unless Hell has frozen over this last year, I don't think so!!!

Wow, Venky's pulling out would leave a big mess behind.I had a quick read, and much of it I don't pretend to understand or at least know if that's ok or not for a football business. I did have a quick comparison with PNE and Blackburn and thought ours looks pretty sensible and professional by comparison. PNE's it appears had a £7.7m loss and the accounts had a couple of sections detailing clearly that without significant director support for the foreseeable future, the company and parent group would be in doubt as a going concern. My wife is an accountant and said they don't put that sort of stuff in for no reason. Blackburn's seems to suggest they're £146m in debt and lost £16m last year!
All hail Simon Sadler I say...
Greasy chicken wrappers everywhere.Wow, Venky's pulling out would leave a big mess behind.
Same true if any backer in that league, pretty muchWow, Venky's pulling out would leave a big mess behind.
Yay! We got an ...amundo. The world is back on its axis.Correctamundo
The Venkys were rounded upon as being an example of bad owners by the Football Supporters Association, but they've managed the clubs debts and made Blackburn a stable and competitive club.Wow, Venky's pulling out would leave a big mess behind.
Ah, but a new training ground would be a fixed asset, not an expense as such, though obviously it would cost to build. Profit isn't always money folks.Could very well be a loss next year as well.
This month a bid has gone in to the Council for the preferred TG location.
