Big B/day coming (90 y.o.)

On my 80th my whole family came from all over the country to a surprise party at a restaurant, around 40 people, and I didn’t pay a penny.

Have a great time Dave.

Congratulations for then Dav. Father in Law turned 90 last month and he's in good heath too.

Which junior/senior schools did you go to?

21st July.
MrsDP has invited all the family to a Restaurant for a family meal.
There will be 13/14, and guess who's paying?
Got it in one, ME.
Can I plead 'Old Age'??
Maybe they've baked you a gigantic cake to fit ninety candles on.
Amazing age. Have a great day.

All credit to you & I hope you have many more birthdays, it's good to see older tech savvy people. I know some youngsters of around 70 who struggle to send a text.

Dave, If I were there I would sing that famous Frank Sinatra song to you. 'You make me feel so young'.

Congratulations and here's hoping you make another 10 years.

Dave,
You have a couple of options:
1. Tell them you need to go to the loo and nip out the back door, leaving them to settle up. A bit more realistic than trying to run out without paying.
2. Say that you are a bit confused because the price of a restaurant meal 90 years ago was just 5 shillings, so you only brought a fiver to include everyone plus the tip.

Seriously though, congratulations on approaching this momentous occasion and hope you all have a great time. A pity, though, that they are not treating you to a hospitality box for a top match at Bloomfield Road. We could have all sang happy birthday to you as well!

Congratulations, Elder Statesman, you give us all hope.

When it was my Mum's 90th a couple of years ago, bruv and I split the cost. Just pretend to forget your PIN number, that'll do it

St. Johns on Church St, Blackpool GS ( which I left after the 1st year). Thought I was going to Tech College but finished up at Palatine. Didn't matter as my 3 best friends went there.
Left at 15 to get a job as a Telegram Boy. My Dad was a Postman, as was an uncle, and a cousin worked in PO engineers.
I feel that I've been very lucky in life as I've had a few good jobs in the Civil Service. Did 10 years as a Customs Officer at Luton Airport. I finished my 40 years there.
Retired after 40 years. MrsDP was still working so I went after another job.
Saw this advert for a Warrants Officer at Bedford police.
Applied, got an interview, and eventually was offered the job. There were, apparently 60 applicants (God knows why they chose me?).
Did that for 8 years.
You could say that 'I've been around'.

cheers, Dav. Had somewhere in the back of my mind that you may have gone to St John Vianney which is where my father in law who was 90 last month went. So i got the St Johns bit of it right.

Anyway have a great day.

Well played Dave, now keep your head, don’t take any silly risks and you could be celebrating your maiden century.

Happy Birthday Dave in advance of your big day. Will you still be celebrating at Salford City the day after?

Dave, I don’t post on here anymore but browse occasionally and I’ll break that non posting record for you Sir.

I’ve spent time with you at protests and on AVFTT nights out and you were always a lovely man, easy to talk to, friendly, accepting and humorous.

I wish you the most joyous 90th and you know the 90th is the new 70th nowadays so keep on rolling Mate 👍

Have a Great One Dave
