Billy Ayre tribute

Agreed.

Quite randomly.....a rotten tomatoes stall with Owen and Karl cut outs would make a few bob if we ever had a BFC summer fete.
 
I’ve got a framed picture of the great late Billy Ayre taken by the Gazette with yours truly and Blackpool fc players and Blackpool fc supporters who worked at BAE Warton in the Lightning club at BAE Systems Warton.
I organised a Meet the players night with me (was chairman of the British Aerospace Blackpool fans association) as it was called back then presenting a framed picture to the great one of a generation of British built aircraft over the years to Blackpool football club and in return I received a load of BFC stuff/memorable stuff which included about a dozen VIP match day tickets.
Great night had by all, and yet still some on here question my loyalty.
Had a private meeting with Owen in the boardroom back then he showed me his model of the 40,000 seater stadium at Wyndyke farm which he was so proud of it was going to happen but the rest of the meeting is for another day. 😮

That picture or similar would look great on a banner at the back of the stand.

I am in favour of this type of makeover or brightening up of Bloomers, but I do think a strategy or theme needs thinking through. Putting a picture of BA up on its own seems a bit random to me. Do you have a theme of past managers who have brought some success? Do you have s theme of past players of prominence? Do you have pictures of crowds of supporters? Or do you focus on the present?
 
Great idea Athers, there is so much wasted space at the ground.Cant think of a modern day hero more deserving than King Bill.
 
Could ask @Purdonkey to design a banner with Ellis, Ayre, Grayson and Holloway.
Possibly another with Armfield, Walsh, Adam and Ormerod.
I'm sure with a GoFundMe page we could rustle up enough money to make it happen, we can't expect SS to fund everything
