Blackpool caretaker boss David Dunn is 'fantastic' for loan hero Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall says Blackpool’s players are loving working with caretaker boss David Dunn.

The Seasiders’ football has been much more pleasing on the eye under Dunn’s tutelage and that suits Dewsbury-Hall’s style of play.

“Since Dunny has come in he’s been fantastic with the lads,” the on-loan Leicester City man said.

“He’s got us working. We’re all giving 100 per cent for him and we rewarded him with a win.

“To be honest I thought we deserved the win in his first game against Bristol Rovers, when we were unlucky to lose.

“But it’s great to finally get him that win, and hopefully now we can build on that and take it into the next game against Ipswich Town on Saturday.”

Dewsbury-Hall was brought to Bloomfield Road by Simon Grayson last month on a loan deal until the end of the season.

However, barely two weeks later Dewsbury-Hall was training and playing under a different coach after Grayson was given the sack.

“Obviously it’s been difficult as the gaffer was the man that brought me in, so it was tough to see him go,” the 21-year-old added.

“Football is a ruthless game as we all know, so it was about sticking to my task, remaining focused and playing as well as I can for Dunny and hopefully the new manager that comes in.

“It will happen when it happens with the new manager. All we can do is continue to play as well as we can and train as well as we can.

“When the new gaffer comes in we’ll all be ready to implement what he wants us to do on the pitch.”

Dewsbury-Hall has rightfully earned plenty of plaudits after seven appearances for the club.

The classy midfielder has displayed his quality, also scoring on his debut at Wycombe Wanderers a month ago.

“I’m really enjoying my time here,” Dewsbury-Hall said. “This is my first loan, so it’s my first proper taste of league football.

“Blackpool have given me a great opportunity here. They’ve played me in games and allowed me to express myself to show what I can do.

“It’s a great club. The fans are crazy as you saw against Bolton!

“I just want to continue playing well and hopefully we can put some wins together to get us up that table.

“I’m also enjoying playing with Connor Ronan in the midfield.

“At times our combination play has been really good and we always seem to be on the same wavelength.”

His comments auger well for the rest of the season. The change in the spirit in the players is obvious when you watch them, and we now seem more able to pass the ball rather than just hoof it upfront. Keep it up Kiernan.

I'd love Ronan and KDH to be our own players. Great to watch. I'm just going to enjoy watching them while I can. And I'm pleased Virtue has been given the chance to play alongside them. Spearing is there when we need Mr Experience to come on and help them out.

All the people saying the club were wrong to sack Larry should memorise those words and see the implied criticism of Larry in them.

Sign them up. This will show true intent. These three could provide the fulcrum for a promotion charge next season.

Oh well.
Not as daft as it sounds if their clubs think they are bit off Premier league first team football and another season out on loan would do them good and them both only 21 you never know we could get them for next season.

I don‘t ever think Grayson was ’on it’. It did not seem like the time did any rondos or similar in training as the passing/touch across the board was horrific.

I think training would have been very unimaginative and a tad dated. Grayson lost his mojo (if he ever had one) at Sunderland. He has looked broken ever since.

The current midfield will rock next season - any half decent manager will see that within 5 mins. I think Larry saw it but couldn't get it to tick (in time) , which Dunn appears to be doing.
