Stan Matthews. Seen footage of him beating his marker easily when he was in his mid 40’s. He must have made many hundreds of goals in his career. He scored 99 himself but it took him a while😀👍

For me, it's got to be Harry Bedford. He was the first Blackpool player to play for England. He was the EFL leading goalscorer twice: 1922/23 and 1923/24.

Yes Dave Bamber was notable as being a lot better in his second spell at Blackpool than his first. Often when a player goes back to a club after years away it does’nt always work out. His white vans are quite prolific around town now I notice.😀👍

Matthews. From what I know. My Grandad told me loads. My all time is Bamber.
Do you know CW, you do right. Dave Bamber. I was away from Blackpool when he was in his pomp so I can't say. But, that's what it's about: who is your best player. I can't say Matthews. I was one when he left us. I also can't say Morty or Alan Ball. Never saw either play in tangerine. So, Tony Green for me, closely followed by Tommy Hutch. And, I was too young to appreciate the art of defending, otherwise it would be Jimmy Armfield.

The title and the question are quiet different

Yates, Nutall & Virtue combined are not good enough to lace one of Matthews boots

Matthews was the 1st Ballon D’Or winner & while playing for Blackpool too, there will never be a comparison, ever
