Interesting video here with a look around tramtown.

The more who visit it the quicker the money is raised for the roof, which then allows the next phase in making the building water tight, then they can build a cafe and a heritage centre etc.

So the quicker they get that money, the quicker they can fix the roof and make the experience better and in turn get more money and look after the site and trams more.

If your a fan of the unique heritage of the area and want to support this it seems an interesting place to visit and help maintain the brilliant history.

Just £5 for adults. Half for kids.

Seems a very fair price 👍

Well done Blackpool council/ transport.

Deserves support IMO.

Just watched the top video.Great view and worth seeing it all through.
I remember when we visited San Francisco at the end of our cruise from Southampton in early February 2018 we rode the tram system from Fisherman’s Wharf ( where we had booked a hotel for a few days before flying home) to Castro and back( incredibly cheap fare, think it was a 2 hour ticket slot you could travel anywhere on) and noting they had either loaned or donated trams from different places around the world in use and thinking wow a Blackpool tram would go down well here.
It turns out a couple of years later they were running at least one of the old boat open trams on the line from Fishermans Wharf.I would have loved to have been there then with my BFC top on telling everyone about the real home of trams😉😉.
As you can see the trams tun along the equivalent of the Promenade there too😀…our ship Is in the background about to continue on it’s world cruise( another 70 + days to go😳)

One of the varied trams……and these are not simply tourist trams but more than useful for the locals.52133B2F-6434-4C00-BA8E-69E22905B27E.jpeg

…..and we will definitely pay a visit to the tram tour….I know that one of my friend and his lad did this before a match this last season but didn’t realise how much there is to the place.
I am sure my better half will enjoy this even with the high viz jackets….probably still wear the shades mind you.9230D0C3-6B8D-4B05-8ED0-2BCEC9352399.jpeg

Looked like they are at 20k raised based off the more recent video, so a fifth there it seems.

If they can get the new roof the other improvements happen after that, with a cafe and heritage centre, making it a better and even more attractive attraction that makes more money.

Plus preserving what they have and the history.
