Blackpool v AFC Wimbledon Official Matchday Thread 06.03.21

Simms gives defences problems but I think he needs to get the ball under control quicker. Twice he could have been through
Edit he controlled that ok

Commentators doing same as Tuesday night bigging up the opposition. It’s not a question of us being bang average it’s just that Crewe and Wimbledon have suddenly developed into great teams. Yeah right.

If a team show up and play differently to what you’ve expected then it’s going to take time to adjust. And yes we’ve spent a decent amount but this isn’t Scottish football it’s not quite as simple as having a bigger budget and therefore having players 10x as good.
League One is tough. You can’t expect to dominate. I’m quite happy with what I’ve seen and think we’re set up well to win as they tire.
Yeah but if we keep the ball like we could we dont allow then opposition chances to attack us it have the ball and surprise us.

No one us expecting 10 times better, thats silly, we can expect us to be able to do better than we have, Critch said he wants us to dominate and dictate, thats what he said. Thats not happening and let's face it Wimbledon are where they are for a reason. We havent looked any better than them.

We prefer to play teams who don't hassle and close us down like Wimbledon and Crewe have. We've started the second half okay though.

59 - Blackpool's pressure tells as Simms diverts Jerry Yates' goalbound shot past Sam Walker, who was wrong-footed.
