Blackpool v Bolton Official Matchnight Thread

All in all I really enjoyed that. They were shite but we had a go and we totally deserved to win. Yeah, we aren't that good but ** hell, if you didn't enjoy how that finished then you don't like football!

Totally agree - as a spectacle it was an entertaining affair, as a football match it was two sides giving it a go - thankfully with us having more about us than they did. Had Gnando have been playing I think that could have been a different result. Jury is out on Madine and I thought Fonz had a very frustrating night.

I think the big lad not playoing would have had a couple tonight by now.
Also playing that back three (or five whichever way you look at it), Gnando would have been a massive presence in their box. I genuinely hope he plays Nuttall and Ward on Saturday - we're not going down, may as well give them a chance?

First - full credit to the North! Not heard noise like that for a while and an absolute credit to the club - first place the players went to 👏👏👏

These are exactly the sort of games we need at Bloomfield Road between now and the end of the season. Edge of the seat stuff which ends in us all walking away happy. If we'd built on the 1-0 lead and thrashed them 4-0 ironically it wouldn't have felt the same as getting that late winner.

Let's face it, they were awful for 70% of the game but fair play for giving it a go at the end and making it a decent game to watch. Just finally can someone turn the wind down and the temperature up before Saturday!!

A wins a win,but 2nd half shows how far we have to go,they made us look very ordinary at times, and they are crap.
How far we have to go or how far we have fallen? I’m sure we had confidence and more about us at the start of the season - maybe we did or we didn’t but we just don’t look like a side that can secure an emphatic win.

I thought apart from a couple of the early games,we got away with a few start of season.

As a first return to BR for me for 8 years or so, it had everything. Thought we were pretty good first half capped off with a decent goal. Second half we were largely crap, they scored an inevitable late goal but then to score a last minute equaliser. Doesn't get better.
Last minute WINNER...you have been away a long time 😁

Yep, my thoughts too. Best night for a long time. The loan players were the pick, but hey ho. That firework went off about six feet away.

The problem as l see it Ghost is that Grayson has sucked the life and confidence out of some of our players, and when we go 1 up we sit back and invite the opponents to take control no matter how low in the league they are e.g. Bolton and Southend. Hopefully this win will give much needed confidence throughout the team. UTMP!
