Blackpool v Bristol City Official Matchday Thread 05.02.21

Another tough game in a long line of tough games. Cmon poooool 💪🏻🧡🍊

Andreas Weimann is their most dangerous player. Creates and scores goals.Need to keep him quiet.

If the forecast is correct this will not be an attractive game. For some time now windy days have not seen the Pool master inland opponents as you might expect (yes I know Bristol is not "inland" but we have Squires Gate) so 1 - 0 to the side that adjusts best - hopefully us 😀

I don’t often make predictions, usually because I’m wrong. However I have a good feeling about this one and fancy a comfortable 2/3 -0 win.🤞

Unfortunately with the weather it's a bit of a lottery tomorrow. We messed up the Luton game in strong winds, hope we've learned from that.

Quietly confident, Bowlers on fire, Lavery looking sharper (though I'd still like to see Jerry getting more time if possible) but they have players who can turn it on too, don't think they can handle Bowler if he's on form though, 2-1 pool.

Hopefully 2-0 to the mighty pool. I’m working this morning and tonight so when I get to the match I wanna see a pool win only

Let,# get 3 points + they have 2 points in their last 6 away matches
The third worst form in the division

Big push all

Be patient first half today... the weather will certainly play its part.

Haven’t a clue what the starting 11 will be but that’s all part of the fun Saturday morning isn’t it.

Going to depend who adapts to the conditions better. We tend to play on the deck more so I'd like to think we would be better equipped ( including training at squires gate) to deal with the conditions better. I'll go with a 2 - 1 Win

Lots of City fans dissing our town. Bloody cheek. Ok, we‘re not exactly on a par with the Côte d’Azur, but to listen to some of the tripe being spouted, you’d think we were the country’s equivalent of Chernobyl. I guess, the majority believe all the drivel about Blackpool residents dying before we’re 50 and allegedly having 8 out of the country’s 10 most deprived areas? Yeah, right. The majority of these fans, most likely turn up on a breezy/wet day in Winter - take a 200 yds stroll along the Prom (or roads slightly inland parallel to the Prom) - have a few pints before the match, then go home. How many footy fans actually venture to our highly rated Stanley Park during their jaunts? Not too many, I’ll bet. Location wise, we’ve pretty much got it all. The Lakes, Trough of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales a tad to the North. The Peak District and Snowdonia just to the South. Live wire cities, Manchester and Liverpool an hour’s drive away. I don’t actually mind Bristol, despite it having a few dodgy areas of its own, but I know where I’d rather choose to live.
PS - re: our ‘imminent‘ deaths. My dear Mum will shortly be 88. Her sister passed away at 91 and their Mother (my Gran) at 85, so maybe this Fylde Coast, alleged short lifespan (so-called stat) - only affects males? 🤔 Hmm!

Anyway, (back to the footy) I’m going for a speculative 2-1 home win 🤗
