Blackpool v Doncaster Rovers Official Match Postponed Thread 23.02.21

Doubt we will keep a clean sheet in this one.
2-1 and revenge will do 👍
Hope NC picks an attacking line up, eg with Mitchell etc adding skill & pace.
Like to think the defence will be the same again.
Don’t suppose CJ will be back for this match?

Doncaster Rovers appear to be the comeback specialists, coming back from 3-1 down against Hull on Saturday to draw 3-3. As against us but as we know we only scored 2!

They have scored 46 goals so far this season, one more than Pompey but have conceded 34, so it would appear their defence isn't particularly strong and hopefully, we can take advantage of that.

Their form isn't presently great, but, all bad runs come to an end as do good runs, so let's hope their poor form continues for at least one more game.

I'll go for 3-1 to Blackpool as I can't see them not scoring.

I would go for the same starting lineup and give CJH a run out later in the game when legs are tiring. Introduce him slowly.

Pool 2 Donny 1

There is a hint that CJ will be back imminently. I wouldnt Be surprised if he is on the bench tonight. Madine still looks doubtful though.

After a fantastic 6 points earned by being well organised and hard working we come up against another of the top 6 at home. It goes without saying that it is a crucial game for our hopes of a play off push. Doncaster score plenty but do give sides a chance at the other end, which we saw with the reverse fixture. The clear handball at the end, which would have given us a well deserved point still irks me. I hope tonight produces a similar entertaining game but with us on the right side of the result and decisions. If, and it's a big if, we do win tonight we will be in a fantastic position to kick on. Roll on 7pm!!

Decent side Doncaster who keep the ball

They have lost their best player though

Wouldn't be surprised to see Critchley changing shape again

Can’t see beyond 1-1. Not a catastrophe, although a defeat might be as it would put serious space between the two Clubs in the League.

I think this is a must win. Lose and it's only 2 places open and with OU and AS pecking away it's going to be uphill. Much rather win this than at the Valley on Sat.

Can’t see many changes, hope their isn’t many anyway. Thought Ward did a job out wide Saturday and is definitely better equipped to play there than Virtue. Can’t see back 4 changing after an impressive clean sheet.

I think two up top suits us better at home than away, at home we’ll see more of the ball. Away from home with two up top the midfield can sometimes look in danger of being overran.

After the fantastic result on Saturday I'm feeling a bit giddy about tonight's game.
However, the conditions could be a leveller.
Same back four as Saturday,
Mitchell to start left mid
Yates, Kaikai up front.

Scrafters saying the ball is holding up in the puddles, given the forecast is for more rain, I'd be mystified if the ref let's the game go ahead.

FFS just paid for the game only to see match P-P
Why do they let you pay when the game is postponed?
That is twice now Burton and Doncaster

The outstanding fixture situation is now becoming serious and playing catch up is a huge ask. Could they not have considered postponing for just 24 hours?
