Blackpool v Shrewsbury Town Official Matchday Thread 24.04.21

Confident of 2 things today.

1 - A good win and performance after a minor blip on Tuesday.

2 - The negative comments on here if it’s still 0-0 after 7 minutes.
Guarantee no negatives from being for 0-0 after 7 minutes. However, if we start and continue to play in the wrong direction I might just sneak in a tiny, tiny grumble.

I’ll take any level of performance today as long as it results in 3 points. I expect to see every man busting a gut for 90 minutes too as 3 points here is a much easier task than having to take 3 at Sunderland or against Doncaster.

Mitchell is just so unlucky to not get a start especially in view of how poorly both Kai Kai and Embleton played the other night...those two really need to shape up today and prove their worth...we can ill afford them to be passengers again...To be fair Kai kai is due a good one and hopefully can get a timely goal against his old club

Portsmouth beat Bristol Rovers 1-0 in the early kick-off to move into the play-offs and level on points with Pool, having played two games more. Result also relegates Joey Barton’s side. Elsewhere in the play-off hunt, Charlton host Posh and Oxford are at Plymouth.

I feel Mitchell and Gabriel are a huge threat on the right. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m not sure what Embleton has invested in our future.
I don't think Embo works on the right so partially agree. He's done well for us though, hopefully Gabriel will get forward and Embo play more inside. We do need freshening up but few options at the minute.

Great to have no commentary - just like watching from the stands (with a stiff neck). 😀

That all came originally from Embleton completely stepping out of a challenge. What Ward was thinking I have no idea 🤦‍♂️
