Blackpool v West Brom Official Matchday Thread 19.07.25

I’m in Blackpool and I still probably won’t go to the game. Friendlies mean nowt. If we had a glamorous game like a top 4 team or a Bayern or Barca then I’d probably go but West Brom ffs. Grim
At least you are honest. Friendlies have some meaning.

Might go Donny next week. Closer and cheaper.

Like I said. Not made of money and have to shell out money for 6 hour round trips just for home games. Not everyone’s situations are the the same
Ordered my Donny ticket today. Could be a couple from the new East Midlands Seasiders

Chance to see the new lads, support the team and club after a really good summer, could get better still.

Also see the stadium improvements so far in person.

The club and the lads deserve at least some decent numbers there.

To many of them this is their first impression of the club and fans at home, even if it is a friendly.

I thought you said in your first post that you were in Blackpool
Going tomorrow then Salford on Tuesday. Missing the match day experience after 3 months lay off.

Maybe your Gran will treat you to a ticket... anyway, good lad for still wanting to go and see your Gran... I miss my Grandma so much and used to have a right laugh with her etc. Enjoy whilst you can Joe... I hope somehow you do make the game mate. It would be a shame to miss it, seen as how you are already here. I'd get you a ticket myself if I weren't looking to have some plastering and brickwork done at home... these boys are on £250 a DAY now!

I'm going but have a feeling we will be 2 amongst 26 'pool supporters

Out of interest does anybody know how many tickets have sold ?
My first pre season friendly in years

Got a spare ticket free if anyone wants one ?
Pal twisted his back last night in Gym ...its for West Stand ..but I reckon there will be an opportunity to change seats.

Looking forward to the game ,friendly or not ,also to see how the ground looks with the changes ,but at the end of the day it's everyone's choice to go or not ,it is also the summer season so some will have to work others away on there hols..athers hope all is well with you and family see you at next game.

Can you just turn up on the day and buy a ticket from the ticket office ? Normally get tickets online but don't see the point if can get on day and slightly cheaper.

is there a stream does anyone know? If not official then dodgy stick?

‘Highlights of the match will be available on Tangerine TV following the conclusion of the friendly, with match updates throughout Saturday afternoon on our live blog and across our social media channels.

A full match replay will also be available on Sunday over on Tangerine TV.’

Looking forward to it ! Seeing our new players, seeing the people who sit around us , and seeing all the ground improvements, but most of all, sitting, evaluating and debating our chances for the coming season with my Son, who kindly bought my ticket .

I wonder if there will be any triallists today?
I would be surprised really…. One would expect by now that Bruce et al know their targets and approaches and offers etc have been made by now …. Perhaps looking for a striker , a winger , right back, perhaps another ctr half?

They are professional footballers, I think they will know the difference between a friendly and a home game in the league, that’s when they will see the real atmosphere, not a run out where there will be countless substitutions by both sides

Gazette has Bloxham amongst the subs??

Here is the full XI: Franco Ravizzoli, Dan Imray, Olly Casey, Michael Ikiekwe, Hayden Coulson, CJ Hamilton, Lee Evans, Jordan Brown, George Honeyman, Niall Ennis, Ashley Fletcher.
Substitutes: Harvey Bardsley, Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Andy Lyons, James Husband, Tom Bloxham, Zac Ashworth, Kylian Kouassi, Ryan Finnigan, Dan Sassi, Theo Upton, Terry Bondo, Spencer Knight, Jack Richardson.
