Blackpool v West Brom Official Matchnight Thread 23.11.21

West Brom are well beatable play to our full potential and a win is more than possible, I'll go for a 2 1 win, just hope our goals are at the North Stand end, I've only seen two so far this season

FANCY WITH THE BACKING OF OUR PASSIONATE FANS AND THEM THINKING ITS ONLY LITTLE BLACKPOOL,(NOW IS THE GAME ALL WHO CAN BE ON NEED TO GIVE THE SAME PASSION AND SUPPORT THEY DID AGAINST THE NOBBERS ) IF THIS HAPPENS THE PRIMA DONNAS ,COULD GO BACK DOWN THE M6 WITH TAILS BETWEEN THEIR LEGS.
2-0 THE MIGHTY FOR ME .

See they had sold 2k this morning so gonna be a great atmosphere. And reckon we are going to get the 3rd scalp win in teams that were relegated from prem last season.. now that would be incredible. Utp

Looking forward to the match. It’s going to be a tight one me thinks. Will be interesting to see who starts for us. Critch, certainly keeps us guessing. Re: the Baggies fans. They’ve apparently had issues with an idiotic element, who have been intimidatingly unruly away from home. Smoke grenades being set off. Stewards being attacked. Kiosks targeted. The following, is a transcript from a North End employee, in response to a complaint from a Baggies fan, who wanted to know why they were prevented from utilising Deepdale’s toilets. He ultimately felt embarrassed to learn what some of his fellow fans had been getting up to.

“In relation to what happened on the concourse. I am not sure if you are aware of what happened pre match and at half time of the concourse. Some terrifying scenes for some of our staff deployed there especially at half time. A very large group of WBA supporters gathered, they set of numerous smoke grenades which filled the concourse with dense smoke and some attacked kiosks. Stewards tried to deal with supporters who had smoke grenades and they were set upon. Despite tannoy announcements behaviour did not improve, in fact their behaviour attracted others to join in or view it. Substantial steward resources had to be deployed. This led to kiosks eventually being closed after a lot of intimidation, threats towards staff and damage being caused. It was clear that there was a large unruly group of supporters, who had forgotten the last 18 months and the difficulties we all have faced. We did manage to identify three offenders for the smoke grenades on the stand, after some difficulties they were ejected and handed over to police officers. It is extremely difficult to detect smoke grenades at point of entry, supporters secret them in areas we cannot search.”

Here‘s hoping that none of the above takes place tomorrow. That applies to any random lunatic Pool fans too.

Don’t get involved, walk away. They’ve always had a nutty element and if they kick off the police can handle it - they get paid generously for it.

Our fans are largely a model set of fun fans home and away. Let’s set the tone with the Volume

It’s about football not violence and let’s pray we get a decent ref !

I forecasted the last two games as 1-1 based on the stats and they came up. This is another similar game with 1-1 again looking strong possibility. WBA are more proficient in goal tally so maybe 1-2 but I think i'll go with a hopeful 2-1 Pool.

Anyone know if Livermore is playing tonight?
He got a straight red on Saturday but West Brom have appealed so I think that means he can play?

From a mate WBA fan

" Watch out for constant attempts to gain throw ins in your half ..then the long throw. We are a big ugly side tall ..and will try and bully you off the ball. Pretty aggressive side ... "

So a la Cardiff it seems

Sounds tailor made for big gaz & big Marv.

I’m gutted, I’ve pulled a muscle in my back, and cant sit comfortably f long periods, let alone jump up 4 times when we score. I’m hoping it’s on the red button, does anyone know?

Yes it on the red button all midweek games are on

We struggle against big physical teams I think we'll get beat 2-0 tonight but will win at the weekend against Brum 2-1

Well done Bally - you forgot “that’s if the weather fails to holds off and the game gets postponed or the WBA fans kick off and the game gets abandoned” - pretty much covered all bases then, my kind of prediction 😜

Let's just play to our strengths and make WBA worry about The Mighty Pool.
A nice 2-1 win tonight 🧡⚽🍺⚽🧡

Like some of the other posters we have said we do struggle against the more direct, physical teams. These lot have some good players and they will turn the corner at some point, 0 2 West Brom win.
Obviously hope I am wrong!!
