Blackpool Vic says no Covid patients remain in ICU

No patients in intensive care and just two Covid-positive patients in the hospital according to Medical Director Dr Jim Gardner

When you look at what's happening in Europe and South America that is astounding.
That’s great news. We are nearing herd immunity and I’m confident too that any variants will be picked up by the version 2 development vaccines in the queue.

Indeed it is fantastic news.

One of the benefits of not being in the EU. 🇬🇧 👍

Well done to Boris and the Government for the vaccine program it’s nice to see were the envy of the world. 🇬🇧 👍
The vaccine program is the Buffoon’s get out of jail free card, or so he thinks! He cannot delay for much longer the inevitable Covid enquiry and his part in the mortality of many thousands of our citizens!

I doubt even Boris thinks he's god.

The usual suspects! Obviously suffering from short term memory loss!
So you don’t think it’s fantastic news that no Covid patients are in the Vic ICU ward?

Let’s not go around the houses a simple yes or no will do.

If fewer people have it, fewer people are catching it, the deaths we are likely to see over the coming weeks are going to be the residual number of people still in from before the vaccination take moved into gear.

We should be down to very low numbers soon, with a long tail of single figures.

At some point soon we will have a zero Covid death day.

I wonder when we draw a line in the sand and say update weekly rather than daily. We can't be too far away now.

A good day for Blackpool.

It's great news.

Jaffa stop bloody whinging, you hooked the bait with your first post as well you know.

Covid stats on Google seem to have gone a bit doolally today.

Zero new cases reported yesterday, or just a glitch?

Incredibly great milestone if true

Vaccine roll out has been a great success which will overshadow poor initial response which main reason for our very high mortality rates.
Being out of EU has meant we have been more agile when it comes to vaccine roll out.EU vaccination plan cumbersome and bureaucratic. Some east European countries such as Poland and Hungary seem to be sorting themselves out.
Not sure about this cod patriotic flag waving.

Glad we see getting this right and stats about patients in ICU is cause for optimism

Two-fifths of the total 105.2M plus UK vaccinations have been completed up to last night.
62.1% first and 17.9% second jabs.
42.1M plus done, 63.1M plus left.
I think the vaccination campaign in the UK is going very well at the moment, but I have no idea of what point 'herd immunity' kicks-in, if at all.
