For the quality of its council housing. Can’t imagine what the other towns are like.
Just looked on Google street view at the new Queenstown. The houses look lovely on the outside. But like all new builds, probably not enough space inside to swing a cat. Also, noticed that every home has at least 1 shiny motor parked outside. It's a long way from growing up on a council estate in the 80's and 90's where people drove rust buckets or couldn't afford to have a car.I think it's the recent development around Queenstown.
It's a great improvement on what was there before.
I wasn’t too keen on the look from outside, but as I now know they are council houses they are a massive improvement on what’s been on offer. Let’s hope they don’t get sold off cheap by the Tory government, not that it’s likely decent affordable social housing is essential.Blackpool wins awards for quality of council housing across the town
