BLM Tell Followers To Boycott Businesses Owned By White People This Christmas

If I've read it correctly, I believe it actually calls for the support of black owned business and to boycott larger companies, as opposed to white small business.

I feel a bit ill having to actually write "white" and "black" when it comes to supporting small business but there we go.

I think you've deliberately misinterpreted it there, by the way. But us whities have gotten good at translating pro-black as 'anti-white' it makes for good ill-thought political "debate".

Love a bit of outrage.

Misinterpreting? Or are you trying just to find an excuse for it? I've seen no comments about the abuse toward Jews on a bus on Oxford Street celebrating the first night of Chanuka by what appears to be Muslim types either.

A question: If I did choose to 'buy British', doesn't that mean I'll be buying from British registered companies, many of which will be owned by business people of different cultures & not only of white origin?
Unless one chooses to look at the definition through a prejudiced lense of curse ;)
 
Its quite clear the race problems in the US are a disaster. Police murders, poverty, gun crime, economic segregation, systematic prejudice, judicial issues the list is endless.

Its also obvious that those issues are particular to the US. We do not have the same problems in our society in any comparable way.
As a result I dont think we can really relate to what any sides of the debate are or why an organisation like BLM says the things it does.
Its yet another negative impact of the Internet that some brits now think we are part of the debate and even take an active role in it.

Invented outrage again by the looney right of the board.

There's so many issues in the world to actually be outraged about yet some just fall in to this divide and conquer bollocks like good little pawns

"All lives matter".

No semantics here. Equality is of no interest to BLM. Dress it up any way you like, but any organisation that refuses to accept all people are equal is racist.

Wasn't this a release by BLM GLOBAL? So applies to the UK arm of BLM as much as the USA therefore we are entitled to make comments.
 
Can’t beat a bit apartheid and racism at Christmas time.

If BLM think that the situation here is comparable to the horrendous racial conditions in the US, then they are wrong too.

If there is a UK arm of BLM then they have No purpose in comparison to what is required in the states
 
So, basically most of you are going to just carry on doing what you have always done so why get so het up about it?

Thank God we don’t have those adverts any more where those Aliens told us “For Mash Get Smash” - coming down here and making a mock of our potatoes….

Greene King is renaming one of its pubs in Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland as it has been deemed racist.

The pub is named after a 17th Century Female Greyhound which is reputed to have saved its Master's life. The dog also appears on the Heraldic Coat of Arms of the Town, but it will be renamed 'The Black Hound', as the current name 'The Black Bitch' has racist undertones with the change of the use of the English language.

I note it will still have Black in its title, but the name Bitch is to be removed, which I would have thought was more sexist than racist although we still refer to female dogs as bitches.

I become more confused each day.

I think it takes mental strength to acknowledge the wrongdoing of previous generations. Don't feel that these imperialists were doing right by their times - they weren't. There were people of exceptional humanity for those times who recognised the truth of this.

I tell you what I don't understand, these punk rockers with their hair and that music, you can't hear the tune at all, I'd send them to the army and another thing, these women libbers burning their bras, are they saying I hate women? You wouldn't have got this in the 40s you know, you could leave your door open back then..
