Greene King is renaming one of its pubs in Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland as it has been deemed racist.

The pub is named after a 17th Century Female Greyhound which is reputed to have saved its Master's life. The dog also appears on the Heraldic Coat of Arms of the Town, but it will be renamed 'The Black Hound', as the current name 'The Black Bitch' has racist undertones with the change of the use of the English language.

I note it will still have Black in its title, but the name Bitch is to be removed, which I would have thought was more sexist than racist although we still refer to female dogs as bitches.

I become more confused each day.

If anybody sees anything racist in that is either ignoring the history of it or needs to see a therapist.

In response I get 5 posts from one poster attacking me personally which have nothing to do with the subject of the OP or my comments on the subject.
