Bloody iFollow Passes!

What a con from the club! Fancy not rewarding those of us who have had season tickets in previous seasons. Very poor decision.

Blackpool Football Club can confirm that the deadline for season ticket holders to purchase tickets for Friday’s Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final, second leg against Oxford United has now passed.

A limited number of tickets will now be made available for sale to non-season ticket holders who have purchased the most iFollow passes, both at home and away, throughout the course of the 2020/21 season.

Those who qualify will be contacted directly by ticket office staff to purchase a ticket from 10am on Wednesday. Staff will work down the list until all remaining seating is sold.

Feel pretty aggrieved as my housemate is a ST holder and so we got games free and we bought all the away games on his account and went halves. Because he has now applied for a ticket, I'm guessing our purchases will count for zilch 🤬

Previous seasons does that include the boycott years now you would have people frothing at the mouth.

Farest way IMO.

I think the club should be congratulated on trying to find some form of equitable way of selling the last few tickets. This will take effort on their behalf , it would have been much easier to just put them on general sale, first come first serve.

Jeeez give over, you can’t please everyone when theres limited numbers.

If this was the way they went about it everyone on here would be moaning about rewarding mushrooms. Club couldn't win really. Best system for a handful of tickets.

How isn’t it fair? If you had a season ticket you could’ve bought a ticket up to yesterday. If you didn’t and backed the club by buying ifollow (80% of money goes to the club) it’s the next fairest way.

No idea if I get one or not. If I do great. If not, sky it is. Think it’s the fairest way they could do it. Bet those who watched on illegal streams are feeling pretty dumb

No need to have a pop at the OP - any fan who shows spirit because they can't watch their team is fine by me.
That said, I agree there was never a fair system.
What is outrageous is that we live in a Nanny state where you can't make up your own mind if you want to attend a game or not.
2000 in each side of the ground would have been achievable and still well below the 10,000 in Prem grounds!

Did people really expect the club to assess the individual circumstances of thousands of people in a matter of a few days in order to prioritise?

The number of purchases of I-Follow Passes can be assessed in a matter of minutes and seems a perfectly reasonable way of distributing a very small number of tickets.

Too many people want what suits them personally and to hell with anyone else, poor form imho.

I think it's as fair as can be. You can't reward historical loyalty with prev season tickets only current or continuous. After that there will never be a way of doing it that everyone agrees with. I think this is fairest considering in normal times it would be match attendance.

Presumably people moaning loudest now would also have whinged loudest if there’d been even the slightest suggestion of rewarding those who attended and held season tickets during the Stain era?

So are they saying the few dozen tickets should go to the couple of thousand who had a season ticket last season but not this?

See the problem yet?

This is a 100pc fair solution... better than I thought they’d find ...

It would be interesting to know just how many passes people have bought to qualify. Including Papa John's games and pre-season, there's a possibility that some people have bought over 50. Seems fair enough to me. That's a proper investment.

Said all along that it was depriving the club of income watching on a dodgy stream. Now it appears it's blown any chance of a ticket for the playoffs as well.

That’s the real issue. The stupid government and it’s pathetic COVID bollocks which it persists with... unless it’s an FA Cup final or Champions League final.

It will be the ones that bought illegal streams shouting the loudest that it's not fair 🙂

I suspect that the majority of those who bought the most I follow tickets have had season tickets in previous years anyway and it will have cost at least as much if not more than a season ticket would have cost them

Diddums stop crying

Like others I've watched every single game including preseason friendlies on ifollow so a bit surprised to find that at least I'm in the frame for Friday.
The luck of the draw now and I'm more than happy with that.

This argument of “a family member was a season ticket holder so we didn’t buy iFollow” you do realise that you’re admitting to not contributing anything financially to the club? Why should you get benefits for freeloading?

The club have got this spot on. I cannot think of a fairer way of rewarding those who have given their support to the club in these difficult times.

It also sends out a message to those who illegally streamed games.

This is the fairest way as it helps the club running as we are still in this pandemic but then again you do get some whinging, moaning minnies, there’s always going to be some unhappy people, no matter what the club does 🙄

Not telling Porkies are we to wind people up?

Amazing you are the only one so far 👍
That's what I thought, club say on site they call from 10am wed yet one guy on here appatently manages to get one a day early and in block m seats, premium seats.... seems a bit too go to be true..... they would go to season ticket holders surely.....

I think the majority think it's fair?
Cant think of any fairer way to avoid a scramble at ticket office!

Obviously if you dont get one moan moan moan!
