Bloomfield Road naming rights

Just read the "police incident at BR thread" and I quite liked the line Lancashire Live which said "Bloomfield Road is closed outside the football ground of the same name"

It's never really been an issue for us given the tarnished reputation of the previous owners but with SS and the apparently better commercial acumen of the team, I can see a time when they will consider it as a realistic option.

i quite like the fact she's still Bloomfield Road; but given how I can now see that we're not funding a cash cow, I'd say go for it if the chance arises.

It'll still be BR to me, and I'll still sing the chant.

Anybody bothered?

If it provides our football club with a nice wodge of cash, carry on,it will always be Bloomfield Road to me. I just hope it isn't something like the "I love my Dermawand stadium or the like.

I'd be a bit gutted if it was renamed with a corporate sponsor if I'm honest, as others said it would still be Bloomfield Road to the fans but it would feel tarnished in a way.

It'll always be Bloomfield Road to the fans, regardless of what it is branded as.

I imagine it's an avenue the club owners will go down soon.

Think a little tangentially and it could be made to work.

The Bloomers of Bakewell Stadium (makers of Bakewell tarts) has something going for it.

As long as we’re at that ground, I’d hate for it to be called anything other than Bloomfield Road.

If we were to ever move to a new stadium, I’d want us to sell the naming rights.

Vitality Stadium or Dean Court?
The Reebok, The Macron, The University of Bolton Stadium?
As Curryman mentioned, if you drive round Bradford, the brown leisure signs have been changed about 6 times for Valley Parade, and are wrong in many cases.

The fans still refer to it as Valley Parade, and we'd still call it Bloomfield Rd. I think we've also got owners who would carefully consider whether any naming partner was appropriate and not just take the highest fee. A marked difference to the previous occupants.

Not got a problem as long as the firm is ethical (not Wonga)! If it puts money into the clubs coffers we can still call it Bloomers

It might not bother you but when the name of a sponsored stadium is mentioned in the press or on TV they never use it's real name they use the pimped up name.

Renaming grounds for sponsorship should be banned.
Yes the media will always refer to it as it’s sponsored name otherwise what’s the point in the sponsor in the first place.
But yes to most of us we will always refer to it as Bloomfield road.
