Would I be right in assuming that both the current and previous icons of this board are of the opinion that Simon Sadler behaves like a spoilt child ?

Bit unfair on straightatthewall that. Icons on here are now rated by their runchase potential,so that only really leaves straighters and Blood.

I think this is very much a commercial decision. Proper clubs start selling season tickets in March and April. Only the hard-core were going to be signing up looking at current form.

I'd only go with that if Sadler was to bring in a big name Wiz. I am not sure there would be a huge difference to NEXT seasons sales whether we had Larry or let's say Heckingbottom for example.

Not sure that Sadler actually has a clue what he is doing. This is a business in which he has no previous experience and is completely different to the areas in which he has been involved previously. He is entirely unproven and so far, in terms of footballing decisions, has been badly advised. Mansford and Gerrity have so far been less than impressive and both need to get their acts together and start to provide Sadler with the assistance he needs. It is not just the footballing side of the business that the knife needs to be taken to.

I'm thinking more about style of play. Most people have mentioned that they want entertainment as well as winning football.

Wow that is harsh

Wow that is harsh

Harsh but true, I see few tears for Grayson who is the only one so far to lose his job. The players as usual are almost entirely excluded from blame yet most of them let their manager, their employer and their supporters down. Similarly, the so-called experts that Sadler has brought in to assist him, and thereby the club, have done nothing palpable so far. It might give a lead if someone actually began to take responsibility for this shit show rather than apportioning blame.

Millers gone too and its looking like Grayson was losing or had lost the dressing room and they weren't doing what he wanted.

Not a fan of this concept of losing the dressing room - it feels like a little too much like the lunatics running the asylum and seldom seems to happen outside the very rarified atmosphere of professional sports. The duty of a professional, it would seem to me, is to provide the best quality of service in whatever circumstances they find themselves. This requirement seldom seems to be extended to football players who appear to renege on their contractual obligations whenever the manager does not provide them with an ideal environment. It is pure nonsense. If the players performances improve dramatically as a result of Grayson’s departure that says more about them than it does about him.

Sounds like you didn't watch any games at all.

Mr Sadler's shown the money so he can decide what he likes. End of. Maybe he is on a learning curve - but he's paying for it.

Also it's amusing that you show concern for SG and blame the players. Just like Grayson did - it was NEVER his fault.

Grayson was boring, drab and the results were absolutely abysmal. Not only could he not create a solid line up - he certainly couldn't motiviate and inspire ANY of them in a terrible league 1. The MOST important element of his job.

So stop crying about it. He was terrible. And criticising the new owner is embarrassing.

It's not as simple as just improving once hes gone although maybe he was having a negative influence and playing players in ways they didn't best respond to. Sometimes if you dont believe in what hes telling you as it dossnt fit what you think you do best and you try and it doesnt work, but you have to keep doing it, you lose faith.

Even though a style never developed, things were going ok until near Jan and the threat of replacing players with better ones, rather than saying he would add to the quality.

We have seen players like Macdonald hardly feature after shining a fair bit. Nuttall is kept and kept playing despite showing very little. Hardy was sent away and not given much chance. Theres many factors like this which may have been the ones that led to things not going right.

We were on the slide and new players were coming in and played too many too fast probably, out of desperation rather than bedding in properly.

But as others have mentioned it's about motivation and encouragement. Some have better results at this than others and SG wasn't motivating them.
