Bolton rivalry > Cod rivalry

Just a shame a few more didn't want to come and watch it, hopefully they will come back now we are looking improved but it was Bolton and should have been more there. Yes season effectively over but still.

I came from Rotherham so no excuses for locals

Beating Fleetwood was funny, I’m still smiling from being them horrible Horwich twats last night. Proper derby against a proper club
The horwich scum don’t see it that way - they hate tranmere more than us 😭😭😭

Got a lift in the car tbf. Which promptly broke down in longsdale rd car park after full time 😂

Got home at 1am. This missus wasn’t impressed
You have to laugh sometimes pal, I suppose winning made it easier . 👍

Being objective, and although it was a Derby, it was a relegated 3rd division team against a managerless 3rd division team who have been appalling for a few months. Its as close to a dead rubber in February as you will ever get.

Add in abysmal weather and then over 8k isn't too bad.

The way its shaping up there may be a dearth of these NW games next season, which is a shame. We could lose Fleetwood, Bolton and tranmere. And gain Exeter and Plymouth!

Saying that Bolton didn't bring that many. They are in a bad position but just shows you when things aren't going well some people don't bother.

The problem with us is most having not attended for ages before this season, needed re-introducing with positive football and relative success to get them back into the habit. Sadly that didnt really happen and I imagine some tried a few games and then have picked their games, whereas if we had played more exciting football and done a bit better it would have helped people get back into it more.

Its easy for us relative hardcore fans to say we should always go but if some say have found other stuff to do for years, maybe with family and have attended some games this season only to witness hoofball and at times a clueless side, you can see how some who weren't fully back into it yet may have found it easy to give a few more a miss.

All that said I hope with the more positive football now beginning to show and also hopefully a manager who will get us playing even more that way, more and more would then come more regularly. We just need some excitement and relative success on the pitch.

Yeah this is true, there are obviously those factors which made it less and less attractive. The weeknight probably knocking a fair few exiles off too and with it being almost a dead rubber game.

Take on board what you are saying but i thought the weather on Tues night was mild with hardly any wind. Seems to be any excuse with some Blackpool fans, fickle isnt the word for it.

Possibly Alfie. I always thought we had about 3-4k loyal fans pre new stadium. That probably increased to around 6k loyal fans following new stadium then Val coming along. Probably around 7-8k now? Topped up by big game fans as and when?

I thought considering the shiteness of both teams at the moment, with absolutely nowt to play for then the attendance was only about 1k less than what I was expecting.

AC...relatively Mild.😳It was bitterly cold at the back of the South especially when the wind seemed to come more from the North East direction after half time.
I also drove back through hail, sleet and heavy rain for a good part of the journey which we were fortunate not to have during match time The car display said the outside temperature at 1.5C...thank goodness the heating worked😉

We won't be losing Fleetwood

Would still like to see Barton's face at the Cod Pond if we beat them - hopefully loads of contentious decisions that go against him and he loses it!
