The only salient benefit I can see from the coronavirus pandemic is the strengthening of the NHS.

I think the service is more so at the forefront of people’s minds than ever before. Current and future Governments will know NHS investment is a vote winner.

I would suggest with certitude that each reorganisation of the NHS in the last few years has rendered it weaker then before.
Even things like insisting on calling Arrowe Park Hospital "Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust". A consultant can barely fit that on their business card.

I've just observed the British public queue 100m down Victoria Rd in minus 4 just to get into Marks and Spencers for their weekly food shop. Each one dressed like they are going to a doctors and nurses fancy dress party. I wouldn't read too much into those polls
