Born & bred tangerine

How many of you were born and bred here on the Fylde coast? I was and our saviour Simon was.
Born in the Vic in '80. Lived here till 18 and went to uni in Manchester. Ended up staying there 10 years, moved back and the deal maker for that was getting a season ticket! Then a yearish later I'm boycotting!!!

What ever anyone says about blackpool, blackpool is my home and is where my heart is. 👍

Me too, except I moved back hoping to get a season ticket and had to join the boycott there and then, I was gutted.

I was at Grange Park infants and juniors at that time but then BGS. I lived on Newton Drive then. I must know you.

I
I went to St Johns C of E, as did my older brother and sister.
I started in 1940.
Was 'Pop' Roach Headmaster when you were there?
'As Cold as the Rockies', when were you there?
I should add that I spent from 1972 to 2014 away.
But always a 'Seasider'.
was a bit after you Dave, mr Brewster was the headmaster (I think)
i think I read on here somewhere that you lived on fleet st, would that be off charnley rd, I grew up there in the 70’s

Another one born in Glenroyd, in 73, amuses me that it's now a care home so quite fancy ending my days there too!
Raised in Normoss, went to Staining C of E then Baines then Blackpool Sixth.
Moved away 3 times and returned home 3 times, first for uni in Liverpool and then to Liverpool again, followed by Chester and Audenshaw (Tameside) before buying my first home in Layton.
Moved to Greater Manchester again ten years ago, first to Sale then Whitefield (Bury, near Gigg Lane) and now Chadderton (Oldham).

Bispham lad and proud of it, lived in Thornton, Newquay and now Brazil, will probably end up in Portugal. BFC through and through had some fantastic times in my earlier days following the Pool and then as we got good I moved away🤷‍♂️😂

Born in Townley's Hospital in Farnworth in 1946. Family moved to Blackpool in 1950 and I became a life long fan in 1954. Left Blackpool for university in 1967 (Lancaster University 1967-1970, Sussex University, 1970-1971, London School of Economics, 1971-1986 part-time Ph.D). Appointed as Lecturer at Bristol Polytechnic in 1972 which later became the University of the West of England and have lived the last 50 years in Bristol.

Born in St-Annes, but exiled for many years. A one club man though.
I have no dog in the Premier League or any other fight.
I have some occasional, but usually passing sympathetic attachments to other teams if I think they deserve it at the time, but it never lasts.

Born at the Vic in 77, spent my early years around Normoss, later lived on Newton Drive, Poulton and now Bispham.

Glenroyd March 69.
Thornton, Bispham and now back in Thornton.
It's crap round here now. All the fields built on by new houses.
And Robins wood now called Pheasants wood is like being in the Thatched. 10 bob millionaires and up there own arse. Been here 3 months and no neighbours speak.
Sounds like we could have some fun with these “10 bob millionaires” next time I’m back😂😂

Born in Manchester, moved to Blackpool aged 4.

Went to United games with my dad, who used to follow United all over, but he died when I was 8. Went to a Pool game aged 10 with my mate and his dad, the rest is history. My son was born in Victoria and is a massive Pool fan. We follow the mighty all over the country together

Not I, born at Tameside General in 79 and lived in Stalybridge for the first 5 years of my life, brought over to Cleveleys then my mum married a Seasider in 86 who took me to my first game. Lived all over the Fylde but am now in FY2
Another Tameside General boy, along with Geoff Hurst, Simone Perrotta and Jimmy Armfield.

I remember going to play Grange Park juniors at footie and the local kids tried to intimidate us before the game, we were like "Hang on, we're Revoe kids not some numpties, we'll do the intimidating around here lads, now f@ck off" 😂

GlenroYd was on my first round (West Park Drive , Knowsley Ave, Whitegate Drive etc.
Also as a Telegram boy it was almost daily we took Telegrams to Glenroyd.
I might even have taken for some babies on here.;)😜.
Took exam and went on the PO Counter. Unfortunately no vacancies at Blackpool so I went to Manchester.
Managed to get a transfer after 2 years.
And the rest, as they say, is history.

Believe it or not, on Sat at the game, this Scottish guy had the seat next to me.
We chatted (as I always do). Although he lived in Scotland he was visiting his sister in, guess where?
Yes Charnley Road.😀
