Alan Nixon tweeted that bowler could have multiplied his wages x4 times if he joined Bournemouth

£3,100 if you believe salarysport.comWhat do we reckon he's on here then? Couple of grand?
Nuttall started yesterday for Scunny£3,100 if you believe salarysport.com
A grand less that Nuttall was on.
Yes, he tweeted that late on deadline day. Not only can we get more for him in the summer, but we can also spend sensibly on replacements, rather than scrambling around on deadline dayHe also said Bowler didn’t turn the bid down, we did.
Really looking forward to him showing Bournemouth what they missed out on next Saturday…come on Josh…stick one over on them.Alan Nixon tweeted that bowler could have multiplied his wages x4 times if he joined Bournemouth

Just think how much he'll be able to earn when Critch has finished polishing him.Alan Nixon tweeted that bowler could have multiplied his wages x4 times if he joined Bournemouth

It also shows we are a selling club at a time and price that suits us. Instead of just to make a quick quid, unlike the previous regime.Yes, he tweeted that late on deadline day. think you need to have more faith in Bowlers ability than to think he'd only be a reserve for Bournemouth. Or anyone else in the Championship. For the first time in his career, Bowler has shown some consistency over a period of time. Why spoil it? Suddenly he could find himself in the Bournemouth Reserves, and yet again be a forgotten man
You were accepting offers of 500k for him!Just think how much he'll be able to earn when Critch has finished polishing him.
Wrong thing to do is break our pay structure for one player it's how you bankrupt a club because the minute you quadrople Bowlers wages to say 12k how long before Big Marv or Keshi for example knock on the door for an increase.Let's hope that SS is in talks with him to increase his wage significantly. Bournemouth may have offered 4 times the amount but if he keeps playing the way he is he will be worth 4 times as much at the end of the season.
He is a great player, let's reward him properly.
Might still be at this rate!If he'd gone to B'mouth or Forest he might have been involved in the playoffs, with a chance of Prem football next season.
I was thinking double them, extend his contract he can still move if the price is right but an extra £3k a week would make him ver happy.Wrong thing to do is break our pay structure for one player it's how you bankrupt a club because the minute you quadrople Bowlers wages to say 12k how long before Big Marv or Keshi for example knock on the door for an increase.
We have to be steady with salaries.
I really hope you are right Angel. If he does sign a new contract and stays then we better sort that East stand out because we will need the increased capacity. He is a special player and his excitement/entertainment value is priceless and will attract thousands more to Bloomfield Road...I don’t like all this talk of getting more for him in the summer etc etc
He’s staying as far as I’m concerned for the next 3 years including a season in the prem and then just maybe a top 4 club ( if we are not one of them ) will pay 50 million plus for him
I can't see it make a difference he knows in summer he's off for big bucks and won't care what we get for him.I was thinking double them, extend his contract he can still move if the price is right but an extra £3k a week would make him ver happy.
Because it gives him some extra money for the next 6 months, it won't stop him being sold but could help increase his value.I can't see it make a difference he knows in summer he's off for big bucks and won't care what we get for him.
Yesterday Bristol's team average wage is 14k a week so why would he sign for six he knows what he can get in the Championship everyone does.
Forget him signing a new contract cash in and move on in summer we are not as yet able to pay big salaries.
yep, sure if Bowler signs a new contract it increases his value in what we'll get for him. But what does Bowler get out of it? By not signing a new contract his agent will be touting that what all the money any club would have had to pay us should go to him as a signing on fee and more in his basic wage. Whichever way, isn't as straight forward as some would think.Because it gives him some extra money for the next 6 months, it won't stop him being sold but could help increase his value.
That makes no sense why would a player sign on those terms season is all over in 3 months anyway.Because it gives him some extra money for the next 6 months, it won't stop him being sold but could help increase his value.
It was more like 3 million the final bid, apparently went up to 4 but who knows.I can imagine he got disenchanted at Everton, rattling round and not getting a sniff at first team action.
He's over that now, confidence regained, and showing what he can do.
And the Everton experience will have taught him to pick the right career move, not necessarily to snatch at the first opportunity.
If he'd gone to B'mouth or Forest he might have been involved in the playoffs, with a chance of Prem football next season.
But if he carries on playing like he is now - or even takes it up a notch or two - mid table Prem teams like Leeds, Palace or Southampton will be calling in the summer.
And we'll be getting a damn sight more than £1.5m.
That was really a fit of pique after Hartlepool. If you'd been there you would have paid £500k to get rid of him.You were accepting offers of 500k for him!
Depends. If it was me talking to Bowler, I'd say we'll set a release clause at, fas, £7m or even not as a release clause, and say to Bowler any excess over that is shared, again fas, 50/50. Suddenly a £12m sale looks attractive to both parties.yep, sure if Bowler signs a new contract it increases his value in what we'll get for him. But what does Bowler get out of it? yep get that, but to set a release clause of say 7 mil+ then you have to pay the player a wage commensurate with that value. Thats hard to guess of course but it would be considerably more than what he's on now. Perhaps in excess of 10k pw. Don't see us doing that or anywhere near it. All ifs and buts of course.Depends. A question of when they expect him to go. If it's in the summer, then wages would be relatively small ie a few months on double/triple with the potential to easily make that back. I'm sure the figures could be manipulated to work.yep get that, but to set a release clause of say 7 mil+ then you have to pay the player a wage commensurate with that value. We have some clever people at the club, I'm sure if they work out a way to do it they will.A question of when they expect him to go. Really ? He might put a few on the gate but not thousands. Most fans are already attending and there is a drifting 1000 or so but I dont believe Bowler flying will necessarily make the difference and we certainly wont be getting £50m for him as in the original post. We must stay realistic.I really hope you are right Angel. If he does sign a new contract and stays then we better sort that East stand out because we will need the increased capacity. Nuttall blazed a great chance over, and was subbed after 66 minutes. They got beat again. I don't see him tearing up any trees there.Nuttall started yesterday for Scunny
I wonder if their fans are thinking they’ve signed a player who was worth big money and just needs proper coaching?
yeah, that's already been mentioned. If he does that, then we'll have the benefit of him being here for another whole season which ain't no bad thing.Being a little cynical, what if Bowler stays and sees out his contract, and then goes for free with a big sign on payment & deal.
Who knows what is in anyones' mind????
I’d guess the club will know the answer to this by the summer. If he’s going to sign a new contract they’ll know pretty quickly.yeah, that's already been mentioned. If he does that, then we'll have the benefit of him being here for another whole season which ain't no bad thing.
