I'd be shocked if he's here on the first game of the season. Be between 2-3 million from Bournemouth or Forest which will then be the trigger for us to bring a few players in.

You would hope that if that is going to be the case it happens sooner than later. No point in us sitting with that sort of money in the bank and the window closing.

Doesn’t fit with what I was told, how is an acceptable offer not accepted? the club were daft to turn it down if so.

Might he have failed a medical? I've seen mention of him having a historical medical issue going back to Everton days. Could be bollocks obviously.

whereas the funds from any Bowler sale will come in useful, it really shouldn't be a pre-cursor that he goes in order for us to bring in other players. I'd like to keep Bowler as well as signing some other quality players.

I get that but the team needs to keep progressing. I realise that off field matters are important in the long term but keeping our place in this division is equally if not more important to me. I don't want to be a L1 team playing in front of lesser crowds because we've sacrificed a fair bit of our transfer budget for off field matters.

Definitely agree and I can’t se Simon Sadler wanting to be relegated, no point in spending all that money on infrastructure and income goes down.

I know I said the same the other day. No point having a TG that has Messi purring and being in the NW Counties league. A balance is needed. For me that would be to have the TG externally owned from BFC and rented back so at least ST income can go to the FC.
