Brannagan joining...or not

Cordon basically say that hes built the team around Brannagan and now he's chose to leave. They've offered him a deal but he's made the choice that he'd rather play for us. I 100% get why he's upset about that but hearing Cordon so obviously fuming is music to my ears.
He's full of shit. So many things not right in his view. What the fuck is he on about? They kept him last season, we've now met the release clause. If he had manged to get them promoted I'm sure Brannagan would have stayed.

Weird as this may sound though - is he a player Appleton wanted?
We'll see if it finally goes through this time and what his reaction is. But I can't see why Appleton wouldn't if he's a 4-3-3 man and he knows him unless there's a personality clash. The recruitment model, if it's working properly which is hard to tell so far this summer, is supposed to be club-driven with the input of the head coach.

He's a player who would offer a better balance in midfield rather than one defensive and two attackers.

How long is it till it's reasonable to be impatient?

I'm going for a 6pm announcement.

Hearing that Terry's Cutprice Carpets has recently signed a new Ā£1.3m sponsorship deal which includes changing the stadium name to the Terry's Cutprice Carpets Stadium.

At least everyone will be able to singalong without getting the words wrong.

ā€œThe option has been triggered,ā€ Robinson said.

ā€œWeā€™ve just been speaking about do we go and buy somebody, but I donā€™t think we can do that 24 hours before the season starts. Weā€™ll have a look on Sunday and see where that goes.

ā€œThereā€™s an option in his contract that if itā€™s triggered heā€™s got the right to speak.

ā€œThe club heā€™s going to has been very aggressive in that, weā€™ve been very aggressive in the counter offer as well.

ā€œYouā€™ll read a lot of negativity surrounding it, thatā€™s part of the industry weā€™re in, but weā€™ve tried everything.

ā€œIā€™ll try to keep my head up and be dignified. There are so many things that arenā€™t right in my view, but Iā€™ll just smile and wish him luck.

ā€œHeā€™s a great young man who has given everything to the football club.ā€

Sounds like it's a done deal from those quotes!

The option's not the only thing that's been triggered, is it Corden? šŸ˜‚

Oh well that's f**ed it then if he's built a pond in his garden. Hopefully we can move on to other targets who only have a window box.
I wonder if we'll ever be big enough to prize someone away when they've just had a new patio done?

We can but dream....

Makes for interesting reading from Page 14

Edit: Here's Karl Robinsons quotes from this afternoon. Sounds a done deal!
