Brexit benefit

If there was one u turn that might get me back onside, it would be to have referendum on the EU.

Vote leave voters were lied to by those who knew better. There was never any option of the Single Market, Freedom of Movement, etc outside the EU. The German Car makers never had a veto on keeping the UK market open, there was never any possibility of 70 million Turkish heading our way.

What there was was huge damage to our economy, huge damage to many exporting and importing businesses, and a further hurdle put in the way of stopping asylum seekers crossing the Channel.

Still, offshore trusts were saved for the mega rich.

The margin of the vote would be even wider than last time if we had another referendum vote on the EU, as not a chance the UK would ever accept having the Euro and losing the pound which would have to be a concession for re entry.

That flies in the face of every single opinion poll for the last 3 years.

As for the details, maybe use professional negotiators this time rather than lazy politicians.

No opinion poll has ever asked the question would you accept the Euro just would you like to be in or out.

The UK wouldn't be accepted back without the currency it's in their rules.
I repeat the margin would be wider if we had to lose the pound.

Imagine going back to the day before the vote and explaining exactly what we know now?

So by exiting the EU there will be massive downturn in economic position and oh all the Europeans will head home but be replaced ten fold by Somalians, Syrians, Afghans, Iraq's etc.

The high street will become basically immigrant barbers, counterfeit cigarettes and dodgy gift shops and the hotels you stayed in will now be full of third world economic migrants who live there for free on your increased taxes.

Also all the promises that you probably thought were far fetched, were just basic lies and remain were proved right.

Add to that your dreams of moving to or retiring in an EU country without the need for significant funds and completion of excessive beauracracy will be taken away from you. You will be sentenced to live in the poorer, sadder, more miserable UK for the rest of your ** miserable lives!
Not exactly a vote winner but it's the truth.

That’s the spirit, love the no surrender attitude.

And I think you will find there’s a few illegal migrants in the EU.

Germany hasn't a bloody clue how many illegals they have figures are estimated between 0.5&1.2 million!
Italy 500-700k
Spain 700k-1m
France 900k and on and on country by country it's a farce and would be absolutely no different in the EU proof as the figures prove.

Why are you so desperate to be ruled by Eurocrats.

Go and work where you want.

If you’re good enough you will get a job if not you won’t.

Don’t blame brexit for being a numpty.
We were never ruled by ‘Eurocrats’. We always have had a sovereign parliament. If you were in business you would know what an utter mess Johnson’s Brexit has been.

Definitely made a mess of it although to be fair to Johnson he had to battle with our own politicians as well as the EU.

Nothing quite like solidarity.

Then why did 600+ MP's allow us to vote?
They should have said no.
You’re right, they should have. They knew it was stupid and they still allowed the public to vote on what was a rather vague referendum. I think they thought the public couldn’t be so incredibly dim and remain would have been an outright winner. Woops!

Cameron was lazy and arrogant, typical of many old Etonians, thought he would win the referendum without trying.

They had a majority - how did a crap opposition like Labour hamper them?
The people voted for Brexit but the majority of our MP’s didn’t.

Seriously how can you say the treacherous Labour party played no part.

Come on Chunkylad you’re not that daft.

What I mean is that Labour were always against it from the start. As opposition though, they weren't really in position to do anything but complain and moan.

The past 12 months is different, but up until that point any failures in delivering a success from Brexit is squarely on the shoulders of the Johnson, Truss then Sunak governments. 4 years to deliver a success.

Not having that, they did everything they could to stop Brexit and I would even go as far as to say they had their own little meetings with EU representatives, treacherous to say the least Chunky.
