Brexit has failed. More Brexit news

The trade deal that’s about to be signed is worth 2.3bn but it will never be worth £9trillion which is what you were trying to suggest.

It might (or might not) lead to membership of the larger trade organisation in a few years opening up other markets.
So your saying a figure of £9 trillion isn’t mentioned in the article and I’ve made it up?

Jesus I give up I really do.

Just thought I would try and cheer you D & G merchants up for once but it seems nothing can.

Good evening as I’am clearly failing in trying to lift spirits on here. 🙄😔🤯

No I’m not saying you made up the figure of £9 trillion. That’s clearly mentioned in the article as a figure that COULD be generated IF we are invited to join the Far Eastern trade bloc.

I’m saying you tried to give the impression we are about to sign a trade deal with NZ that could be worth £9 trillion. That isn’t correct as the Daily Mail acknowledges. It’s worth “only £2.3bn” - the words used in the article.

New Zealand Lamb and butter we do have our own. Will it be cheaper to watch the All Blacks or to buy Sauvignon Blanc? Montana do produce some great bottles

🙄 to answer your own post once may be regarded as a misfortune, to answer your own post twice looks like carelessness

I’am surprised no one has mentioned the Ford Halewood plant on Merseyside.

Been chosen to build the power plants for all Ford electrical cars sold across the whole of Europe.

Guarantees work for the 500 workforce at least for the next decade.

Awaits Mex now to tell me I’am wrong and I’am spinning it for my own Brexit agenda. 🙄🇬🇧

Trawling his media feed as we speak, muttering under his breath.... Brexit has failed... Brexit has failed..

Great news for the workforce at Halewood 👍although it’d be good to know how much of the £230m has been provided by the U.K. taxpayer via the Automotive Transformation Fund.

By the way Ford have also invested £730m in Cologne on top of investments in Romania and Turkey so good news for our European friends as well 👍

Good news Tory investment in Halewood👍...I’m sure our European friends will have contributed to Fords other investments too👍

Only a matter of time before Italexit. Hungary may get kicked out for being very naughty Magyars and not following the rules. Great stuff👍
Only a matter of time before Scotland gets independence and joins. NI will probably unite with the Republic and join as well. Great stuff 👍

That won’t happen for decades if at all.

Like Brexit the Scottish vote wasn’t the best of 3 and like Brexit the majority voted to remain part of the U.K.

As for NI voting for a united Ireland i’ll never say never but i’ll go as far as say most on this board won’t witness it in their lifetime.

Poland seems to be where it's kicking off now: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-n...e-blackmails-us-warns-polands-prime-minister/

Mr Morawiecki said Poland remained a "loyal member" of the EU but warned that the bloc was turning into an anti-democratic federal superstate that trampled over national sovereignty.

Italy will presumably go bankrupt at some point and crash out of the single currency, after that god knows what happens.

Did membership of the E.U. improve the ordinary persons life?
My old home town of Blackpool has gone downhill behind the
glitz of the sea front there is poverty and poor housing and did
the E.U. intervene and do anything about it?

Other than spend literally billions on the front? Who do you think paid for the Promenade redevelopment? If it was left to the current Government, there would be no development and still the poverty and poor housing.

As he says, no country needs two governments.

At least the EU agree with him on that. The EU want to govern by themselves without any member state’s government having the audacity to think they can interfere with err……, their own country. 😩

Anyone see on the BBC news this morning about Covid rates in Romania?

Averaging 600 deaths a day but they can’t get hold of enough vaccine for its people and it’s the bottom of the list when it comes to EU countries with the least vaccinated population.

How the hell can France/Germany allow this to happen? I thought everyone was supposed to be equal in the EU? Why aren’t they doing more to help Romania?

Obviously not a load of bollocks thank God we’re out. 👍🇬🇧

Just been reading in the MOS about a trade deal about to be signed ‘within days’ between the UK and New Zealand which could be worth up to £9 trillion.

Hope that cheers one or two of the Doom & Gloom merchants up on here although hand on heart I doubt it.

Oh and it’s a non military trade deal so no weapons of mass destruction so it might even cheer the Cat up. 🇬🇧 🇳🇿
Piss myself laughing.
It could be worth up to 9 trillion*
*if New Zealand has a population explosion with 1 billion people living there and we trade exclusively with them for the next million years.
That's the most laughable thing I've ever read on this forum.

I piss myself laughing that you make a post during a Blackpool game. Says it all really.

How many times have I told you I'm not a pool fan? Must be at least a dozen. I have links to the town and have a fondness, does that mean I can post on here or not?

my point was simply that do you seriously think BFC fans would be interested or read anything you have to say whilst a match was going on.
