Brighton v Blackpool Official Matchday FA Cup Thread 23.01.21

Loads off here have been clamouring for 3 at the back for ages... looks like that’s what we’re playing. Obviously not the ideal personnel but be interesting to see how it goes.

Hmmmm.

Surely that's a Covid team.

Anyway, as long as they give 100% that's all I want.

Hopefully, Brighton are far more interested in staying in the PL than having a cup run.

I was going 2-1 but not so sure now.

COME ON BLACKPOOL!

If they give it their best and want it more they have a chance. Obviously not favorites but I hope they have a more positive attitude than some on here.
If you think this is bad right now, wait until we play a misplaced pass or two and usual suspects think everyone is crap and should be sold/sacked.

Yeah it's a case of how many Brighton score but should be fun to watch the young lads. If Critch doesn't bring any of the youth team players on, in this environment, with a good amount of time. He'll lose a bit of respect for me.

Brighton have a very strong bench !

Not a selection that inspires confidence... But we have to believe. Much much much more surprising results happen in the FA Cup all the time. UTP.

It’s the FA Cup guys. Anything is possible. Everything’s stacked against us but we’re due a little run in the cup. Thorniley to play out of his skin and Simms to come on and notch the winner ( then I woke up ) .

Will be very interesting to see how we get on with two attacking full backs. Been waiting for us to give this a try for a while. With no CJ and the other unavailable players, this seems as good a time as any to try it.

Who wants it the most.? Players who have come in will be fighting to show they are worthy of a starting place in the League side.

Right, all essential shopping done ✔️
So Come on Pool , time for the fun to start.
Just done mine too. A takeaway sausage buttie after a brisk hail interrupted walk round the marine lake. COYP, ready for anything now! 🏝️ 👍

6 out with covid including Mitchell 3 out injured in grettarrson Anderson and CJ I’m hoping they look to get the Wigan and burton games postponed

You would think to have any chance we`d need our strongest team out. I would want a lot more than 8/1 without CJ and Dougall and Ward.I will watch the game but I doubt there will be much to enjoy,I hope I`m wrong but I very much doubt it.

Problem is that team wouldn’t win a league 1 match. Either covid hit us hard or we aren’t that bothered about going out.

Looks like a 352 to me. Sorry if already mentioned only just got in. Be good to see this formation in action of in fact it is.

Howe and Thorniley free to leave.
Meaning Critchley doesn't rate them anymore.
Thorniley in the team Howe on the bench.
So how does Critchley get them up for this game?

Unfortunately with Dougall, Ballard and Ward out I really cannot see Blackpool getting anything from this game.

Really hope I'm proven wrong

They should be able to get themselves up for the game to prove him wrong, or put themselves in the shop window to get a decent move where they will play

All I can think of is putting them in the shop window. But has the potential to back fire.
