Congratulations on your promotion and really looking forward to watching you play ourselves at Ashton gate next Saturday. Critchley has done a great job and it's good to see you back on the up after some very tough years.

We havent had any fans since the beginning of 2020 and haven't won at home since january 26th ! All that being said I cant wait to watch us play at home again. I actually think itll be a draw which might not be a ba resultdfor either team.

I wrote a season preview for ourselves and some (although I'm sure not many!) of you may be interested in . Gives an overview of where we are and the state we are in. As you can see there is cautious optimism that we wont be as bad as we were last season.

I've not seen a season preview for us yet. On a nutshell we are reasonably confident of staying up because we have a great new owner and a lot of positivity, and we have Critchley, who bamboozled a lot of our fans last season by turning out to be brilliant.

We have lost two loan players who played a big part though, central defender Ballard and striker Simms. We signed about 8 players so far, mostly potential rather than first team walk ins, but we just signed striker Tyreece John-Jules on loan from Arsenal. He was at Doncaster last season and didn't have the impact that Simms had for us, but injuries affected him and he looks like a talent. The Bristol game may come a bit soon, he may need some time to settle in.

At the moment we have a few players missing due to injury or Covid. Most notably our two holding midfield players, Dougall and Stewart, who are key to how we play. If they are not back for our trip to Bristol, you will be playing us at the right time. We also need to sort out who replaces Ballard in central defence, we have a few alternatives with no single obvious candidate.

So I think we will be ok over the season but could have a few issues on the opening day. We played Burnley at home last Tuesday in a game both teams took relatively seriously, and lost 1-0, the goal coming after we made about 7 substitutions. We held our own reasonably well and created a few good chances but fluffed them, last season's top scorer Jerry Yates missed two great chances, Rusty. Our final pre season game is this afternoon at Morecambe.

The word is 'us', an object pronoun. 'Ourselves' is a reflective pronoun and, therefore, not appropriate in this instance.
2-1 to Blackpool btw.
