Had a thread on here earlier in the season about their time being up in the premier league.
Undefeated in 4 games now 2 wins 2 draws excellent win earlier against Wolves.
Point behind Arsenal now with a game in hand keep this form up they’ll comfortably survive. 😮

Manager who is totally underrated does it every season have a bad spell then keep them up a bit like Pulis did at Stoke year on year fans get bored get rid and they get relegated same would happen if Dyche left.

Manager who will be potted in the not too distant future.

Fair play to 'em, quite admirable what they're doing sticking in the Prem. I imagine it must be boring as anything playing awful football and clinging on most seasons though.

Certainly wouldn't shed a tear for them if they came down though the claret bastards 😉

My mates a big AFC Dingles fan and he did tell me in October when l was hurtling football banter at him that they would start turning it around at Christmas.

Chunky, that's the bit I don't get about them. They've had several seasons in the top, not one, but their spending has never altered. They've had Dyche for, what, 5-6 years now maybe more? No compensation to pay out, the ground's hardly changed.

Now, I applaud all that and I wish others did similar. Not a hugely entertaining team but they work hard at what they've got so good luck to them.

Going right back to before they were first promoted, the Lancs phone in was the same message every week, budget budget. Club was in dire straits financially

But given the multiple Premium years they've had, they must be in a decent place by now. So where's it all going?

At first I gave Dyche a lot of credit at Burnley for the way he was trying to get them playing decent football. Which was far from what he did at Watford who were a bunch of thugs when they played us.
However, the longer he's been at Burnley the more he's turned to route one football with players like Wood and Barnes up front. They undoubtedly try to bully teams with their [over] physical approach. All that said, if they survive and continue to do so then you reluctantly have to give him credit and say he's doing what needs to be done to keep them there.

If we reached the Prem again I doubt if we could do better than the odd season or two. Never mind 5 or whatever seasons. Clubs like Burnley & us can't possibly compete with the moneybags ones. They have done extremely well & whether the football is dull compared with the top six, they have to make themselves hard to beat. I wonder what their supporters would prefer (genuine question) relegation & exciting football or as it is.

Well if it were me, it would be 100% as it is.

I've always said on here they won't get relegated because they've got goals in them however bad the football is. I don't like Sean Dyche particularly and in certain interviews he comes across as a bit of a bully.
The takeover is rumoured to be 200 million compared to 10 million that Simon Sadler paid for us. That's how much being a premier league team inflates your price.

Burnley's success under Dyche has been built on solid foundations which is why they have been able to sustain it. By solid foundations I mean they've generally been very difficult to break down, with two very good centre backs and an excellent keeper. Currently I think that's Mee, Tarkowski and Pope who are all very good. But even when they won the Championship title, they did it by keeping clean sheets (20 out of 46 games).
When you have that kind of defence, you're usually able to claw your way out of any bad runs eventually. It makes me very optimistic for how we're going to do over the next couple of seasons because I think we have that same kind of solid foundation with this team. It can allow you to go on long unbeaten runs, because you are often capable of avoiding defeat if playing badly (Accrington!).

New owners soon, hence the Dyche uncertainty I guess. He was very unhappy in the summer with the lack of investment also.

Burnley are the modern equivalent of Blackpool during the 60's, Surviving but going nowhere. Then it all went to pot after Brown was sacked. the rest, as they say, is History. 🥴

If they potted Dyche who would come to take over?
He's a good manager doing what he's done on a small budget.
I'm surprised that he hasn't already been lured away.
