Burton have won their last 6 away games

Won 9 in 11 including all the away games. Not doing anything special, just totally locked on to winning games by being fitter, stronger, organised and focused. Would rather be playing them at their gaff knowing how we set up. We're drawing home games with one goal max so they'll be licking their lips thinking time it right and get at them. They won't be looking at our defensive record. They'll be thinking this lot can't hurt us when they have to come at us.

Easy solved, just leave the sprinklers on all night and call it off. Madine fit for rearranged game. Fairs fair when Hasslewanker cried off so he’d have a few more players registered

Is unbeaten in 6 games a good thing?

They’re only 16th in the league and that’s what 62 keeps saying is more important than form. How many of their players are from the Championship?

They have certainly turned it around and they are on a great run. We could really do with a win at home I can't see this being an easy game.

On our day I think we are good enough to beat anyone but we are not taking teams apart. I think Simms has a lot of potential and still think he is one we will see in the future but I think he wasn't the only forward we needed to bring in and solely have to rely on.

He will learn a lot from his spell with us but we really need Madine back we miss the way he holds the ball up and wins free kicks

Tough game , it appears they like a long throw in with Kane Hemings buzzing around the area picking up the pieces. They press high & try & make the defence make errors, but I will back our defence !

Sounds like they got away with it yesterday.
Stats wise
Crewe 64%/34% Possession
11/10 shots on goal
4/5 shots on target

To score with 3/5 shots on target and only have 34% possession makes for interesting reading.

All runs must come to an end.

A statement to tell yourself about the Burton Albion fixture or the day after a dodgy kebab!

There is little doubt we would have walloped them had we played when we should have done, off the back of thumping Wigan, no wonder Jimmy Floyd Piggybank didn't want to play that night.

Totally different proposition now, it will be a tough game and one we need to win if we want to make any inroads into the top end of the table.

I hope we win but I'm far from confident we will, depends how we set up and the team we select, fingers crossed 🤞

I'd rather come up against a team that had won 6 games on the trot than lost 6.
We've always been good at spoiling runs in both circumstances.
At least the omens in regards to the above are favourable. No chance of underestimating a team on top of the form tables. Expectations may not be so high. All favourable indicators. Pool may well upset Burton’s run, here’s hoping!

Three absolute gifts from defensive errors.

It's a big game after draws in our last 3 home games. I, and a growing number on here, have reservations about Critchley.
You may think he can do no wrong, I don't.
But when we put a string of wins together you just kept saying it meant nothing as we were low in the league?
It seems it means something only if it’s not Blackpool performing well.....

We're still mid table and struggling to win home games. We need to beat Burton especially with Oxford and Pboro up next.

Think it looks like trouble this match. They are in an incredible run of form and that winning habit. Burton are scoring for fun and we struggle to get more than one goal per game.
Madine should start or at least play 1/2 hr. No fannying around with “he isn’t quite right.” Holmes and Apter on the bench as back up. Gabriel as a starter. Ward in for the injured Stewart. Yates and Simms up front. We need to increase our goal threat.
