Can Embleton play in the Sunderland games?

It’s normally the case.
I remember a player we brought in on loan from Plymouth in 2009.
They allowed him to play against his parent club and he scored!

I think 54.8 in that says you can’t unless the other club have given you written permission.

54.8 During the period of any Temporary Loan Transfer, a Player shall not play against his Transferor Club without the prior written permission of the Transferor Club (which, if given, must be indicated on the appropriate Temporary Loan Transfer form).

Dear Sunderland AFC

Can we play Embo?

Love and best wishes,

Blackpool FC

Ah, yeah, Lasley was a bit earlier when I think about it.
I’m sure I heard a story that he came asking for some of the promotion bonus that season and got told where to go.

Yes...but a long time ago...and he scored if my memory hasn’t let me down...but it won’t happen...and it was Plymouth he played for..🤔
Seip scored 2 goals for us when he was on loan to us from Plymouth in the promotion season to the PL. And he was one of the players that had to go to court to get his share (£70k) of the promotion bonus, becase KO tried to screw certain players

I’m sure I heard an interview with one of that promotion squad. Might have been Brett and he said the players divided it up between themselves, Evo was in charge and didn’t give Seip anything.

Dod he go to court to receive it? I can’t remember.

Yes, he did go to court. And the action was against the club, not the other players. It was reported in the papers at the time and that Seip needed the money because Plymouth had gone into administration and the players hadn't be paid. He was awarded £70k plus his legal costs.

Ah right, that’s be honest I think he deserves some.

Yes will have been against the club, but Im sure it was Brett that said Karl left it to Evo and a couple of others to decide how the bonus was divvied out. He washed his hands of it and it ended up in court.

Another master stroke.
