Can someone give us a run down on the players?

In good old AVFTT fashion? Thoughts on all the players today?
Am especially interested in Beesley, Dale, Trybull, Thompson, the Trialist and Apter if you want to narrow it down.

Beesley tried hard but did not cause a development side any issues
Dale and Apter actually did well up front but the Hibs lads would have been tiring at that point.
Trybull good player but very similar to Norburn and not sure I would play both
Triallist looked useful but how many midfielders do we need
Thompson still looks clueless

Beesley the scapegoat this season by the looks of things
Not a scapegoat
Cannot fault his effort and I hope things work out for him, but at the end of the day he did not cause Hibs development team any issues.
Same with Thomson, hope he has a great season but not sure he is managing the basics, just compare him to Dijon Sterling who was a similar age

Can’t see Beesley cutting it. He posed no threat today.

I think Thommo will benefit from the coaching. Critchley spoke to him loads in the game today; compare with Apples sipping his brew and staring at his shoes.

Isn't there a case for playing Norburn in front of Trybull?

I was hoping A Trialist would have been a striker. We don’t need any more midfielders really
In the current situation I would agree but for some reason I just can’t see Trybull still being here at the end of the window

If Trybull and or Virtue leave we need midfielders hence Oakley Boothe maybe.

Watched the game on TTV. Looked like weak opposition and we laboured all afternoon til last 5 minutes. Not enough weapons. Wing backs not effective. Not enough threat from Morgan and Carey. Beesley not in the game.

Marv and Pennington look assured at the back, and Norburn in front of them. Lyons needs to be playing. Lavery is obviously looking in good shape. Dougall looks to be regaining his appetite and form, a goal and an excellent assist, seems to be preferred as an AM this season.

We've got some strengths but also some weaknesses to address.

Why is there this constant thing about Trybull leaving? He will be here this season and is going to be our main defensive midfielder with Norburn either playing alongside him or just in front and playing 3 at the back with 2 wing backs means we can have an attacking midfielder in front of those 2 and either Lavery on his own up front with a number 10 behind him or alongside someone like Joseph. You also have cover with Dougall and the lad on trial, if he signs and as the number 8 we have Carey, Morgan and Dougall. I would like to see another number 10 and a number 9 and another centre half.

The silence from Trybull in Cork was deafening.
The R Lancs interviewer, Bayes, a Blackburn fan who knew him from his time at Rovers, didn’t or couldn’t arrange an interview with him.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it.
I really don't think he'll be going anywhere, we need to keep him

Without the pressure of trying to compete with a player as good as Yates, Lavery might just now have a chance of showing he is as good as Yates.
