About the nobber allocation

The EG and Lancashire Post along with the Scrafton ramblings are incorrect

The Preston allocation hasn't been cut so please stop posting fake news

2200 is normal for away fans the only reason Barnsley and Blackburn got more was because the home uptake wasn't there

Look back to the Premier lg season and far bigger clubs than ** Preston only had that section

As thats err the away end ....

I think its great that we have enough fans to sell the East (North) section for this game, personally i think we could also sell the South East bit as well

Oh and i also remember when we played them at theirs and we got about 2k, we also got bombarded with stones and shit frome the building works after the game

So fcuk em

PHIL FROM WALES also agrees

Copy this and paste it onto pneonline. I think you will get some sensible debate going. They seem a reasonable bunch.

Unfortunately we can't sell the SE corner whilst the south end of the East stand is given to away fans. When we were in the PL the SE Corner stand hadn't been built and the area where the away fans now exit was effectively "wasteland" like the NE corner is now.
Of course there's an added danger of putting Pool fans in the SE coast from the resident above.

Nope not having the fact that someone else actually agrees with you, no way Jose.

No reason for doubting what you say but
I cannot believe the whole SE corner is a risk, only a few seats towards the bottom need leaving unoccupied for segregation

It will be a safety certificate/concourse issue. Normally those in the corner would use the facilities in the corner and obviously wouldn’t be able to.

Plus another few hundred going in the same entrance as those who sit in x will cause issues with the away fans, who queue up right next them. I think it would be a logistical nightmare to have home fans in the corner for this game. Move the away fans to the north side of the east and then there are no issues.

I think the worst thing about this ticket allocation (non) story is our fans who want to give them the whole of the East.

Bizarre that anyone would want to give any opposition that sort of advantage, let alone our main rivals.

They’ve got the standard allocation for away fans and we’ve got enough demand from home fans to sell tickets in the other half of the East. End of debate 👍

Why on earth would home supporters want to give the away fans nearly 50% of the home attendance? Truly bizarre, maybe home fans that want this should give up their ticket if they don’t like it and let someone have it who is more deserving.

The view from too many seats in the SE Corner is absolutely awful...ask anyone who had to sit there during the restrictions due to Covid when we were actually allowed in...and the best seats are actually lower down😀

Correct mate

Its bizarre that so called Blackpool fans want to let away fans have a third of the ground I'm guessing they didn't go in the 80s and 90s

Idiots....

You can add on the Championship years after the PL season the away fans only ever got one half of the East.

They got shifted to the North side with Portaloos and burger van in 2012 and least these moaning Nobber twats will be able to buy a beer.

we certainly did and then ran them ragged all over the place.

all this crap of we will bring thousands and run amok around town just will not happen! Yes a few “lads” will strut around and a little disorder may occur but nothing of note.

Good post Phil. Also, not true.
100% true

all Premier League clubs only got the South end of the east, after that away teams only got the North end of the east, it was only in boycott years that they started to encroach on home areas.

Should not even be a debate

if the Nobbers decide to cut their nose off to spite their face and reduce the away tickets in the Kop at Deepdale then that is up to them, however it wont be a similar situation as they will never sell out their other 3 stands with PNE fans, let alone any of the Kop. They will just reduce their own revenue, so be it!

Unfortunately it's far from that simple. Take a look when you are next in the ground and you'll see why.

Look, I'm not trying to be the pantomime villain here. It doesn't matter a jot to me personally. But, taking the Blackburn and Barnsley games as the away attendance for big fixtures, then 2,200 is a reduction.

No …

They have been given the standard allocation, but not the additional allocation. So they have been allocated less tickets than those clubs.

That isn’t a ‘reduction’….

When circumstances allow (I.e. There’s lower demand from home fans) we can sometimes offer an additional allocation where deman exist from the away side…

Preston have got the standard allocation…. A reduction would be less than 2200.

So Sunderland and Arsenal both got circa 12k of away tickets during the boycott years, does it mean the away allocation is 12k?

no, the away end at the moment is the South side of the East Stand, it holds just shy of 2500, less reduction for persistent standing by away fans means away capacity is 2200

North east should be away fans as they can be brought in and out from central drive with the gate shut so home and away fans can’t mix and then all of the south east and corner can be for home fans it’s not rocket science Is it.

Yep, I really don't get why so many can't understand this, it's a really simple equation.

Less home demand, the north east may become available subject to safety approval.

Sold out 3 sides well before the game, North east stand becomes available for home fans.

Thats the way it should be to maximise capacity.

The away fans get 4 blocks then and I think its about 2.5k.

Pool fans would get the se and corner which is 2200 and 640 ish.

Unfortunately they don't trust the north near away fans and after some incidents that isn't going to change.

Once they start the banning orders it will stop the stupid stuff I’d say.

Yeah I think everyone has had the warning and should know that misbehaving will be punished.

However, I just don't see them changing it.

Not when for most games it's fine and there's only really an issue at the rare bigger games.

But it would be nice to see someone actually use that SE corner for once.

I know we've got a few lunatics (God the things I've seen going to away games back in the 90s) but, unless I'm mistaken, I can't think of any other clubs who aren't allowed to use parts of their ground for fan safety. Anyone would think we were 70s Millwall.

Anyway I'm actually flattered by how desperate they are so visit us, most excited they've gotten since.... erm oh yeah they've achieved nothing of note since 1420, evolving into a sort of northern Reading, a club noone outside of the town ever thinks about, or cares about.

They've not been this excited since they had that massive cup upset when they knocked us out of the League Cup in the 1st Round in 2013. If I recall they made a special DVD of it, it was such a big deal. I think there showing a re-run of it before they screen the match at Deepdale in two weeks. 🤣

From memory, Man U got a 'reduced' allocation to 1800 because of their fans persistently standing at games.

Correct. We've got about 1500 out of a 30,000 capacity stadium.
I think we should only give them 800 when they come to Bloomfield Rd.
TBH I just think The Florists are sore losers. .
Football ground guide says ...

"Visiting supporters are housed on one side of the lower tier of the Bridgford Stand (towards the Brian Clough Stand), where around 2,000 fans can be accommodated. If demand requires it then an additional 1,000 away supporters can be seated in a lower block of the Brian Clough Stand."

This is in a 30,000 seater stadium.
