Caravan Travel restrictions

Someone asked on one of the threads about caravan travel...(would apply to motor homes and camper vans too)

just had an e mail from Caravan and Motorhome Club.......very simply if you are in a Very High Risk area you can only stay on sites in that area....you cannot travel to and stay at sites outside that area.

So looks like my Gypsy adventures with the Romany Duchess are over for this season but we did get away 7 times so mustn’t grumble

I believe Cala Gran is highly rated.

We are off to Bristol next weekend for 3 nights in our motorhome, then we we're supposed to be off to Wales for 2 nights but with Nottinghamshire being in tier 2 we cannot go there. So we are heading down to Minehead for those 2 nights instead

T’was probably me Blood - not heard anything from Camping & Caravanning Club about it - yet - but Sis in law and her fella are going tenting on a site in a Tier 1 area and rang up the site - there response was that they could still camp as long as they felt ok and observed social distancing etc.

  • People from very high alert areas should avoid staying overnight in another part of the UK, or avoid staying overnight in a very high alert level area if you live elsewhere

As Sooty59 said, if they live around here they are breaking the "rules" - whatever the guy on the campsite said

But only advisory still - I won’t be rule of thumb breaking rest assured and we won’t be making that last trip unless there is some movement in the Tier level for Lancashire.

That might be ok as its all Tier 3 as it were but our trip was to Keswick in Tier 1 so perhaps not such a good idea really, plenty of time next year fingers crossed.

Yeah take your point but we’ve come across less people than when we are at home. Plus we actually came before the tier 3 was imposed for what it’s worth. We will have to cancel Skipton next weekend as that’s in tier 1 & be somewhat compliant.

I meant our trip not such a good idea Sooty, not having a go, I think travel within the same Tier Zone is acceptable 👍

We’ve just booked a couple of sites Lancaster way and Burnley.... They do look very nice by the way 👍 seeing as our week to Scarborough is now Canceled.
